Thats the $64000 question. They all claim to be the true religion. They all have as much info for as against, most of the people that claim their religion is the "True" one will be saying that because it's either the religion they were born into or the "official religion" of their country. In the end, who knows. I used to think it was Christianity (and who knows it still might be) until I started looking into all religions and their histories. Now I really just don't know any more.

I hope if there is a "True" religion then the true God will come down on judgment day and explain to all what the score is and give us all a chance to buy into it and repent (because lets face it if that happens it will have been pretty obvious that someone was right)...

For anyone simply looking for the truth, the religious paradigms of the world are a nightmare to untangle, to the point that looking into them in the first place will likely be to your detriment in the end.

Is it a sin to humble yourself before God (whoever he is) and say "I just don't know, please set me straight on the last day" as long as you live a good and righteous life?

"Salvation"
is the Way, the Truth, The Life.! ( It is not a Religion)
The World Is Full Of Religions, And none of them will take you to Heaven unless They are Confessing Jesus Christ as Lord AND Savior. There is a Big Difference between Salvation and Religion! Just accept Jesus into Your Heart, ask Him to Save YOU.>>>Now, You Have Salvation. Avoid those who claim "religion"! Make Jesus the Lord Of Your Life. Live only for Him. Let People know you are now a Born-Again child of God. He will Bless You and Never Leave YOU.

discordianism! all hail eris! hail discordia!

want to become a discordian? Eat a hot dog on a friday, in order to break the rules of all major religions: judaism/islam (no pork) hinduism (no beef), christianity (no meat on friday), discordianism (no hot dogs).

nah, I have no idea actually. And frankly I don't think any religion is completely wrong or completely right, because religion is not just about books, gods and rules but also about people, the communities you are in. You have to make a decision based on your local circumstances, not the global debate. Find a church/mosque/meditation group/metal band you like and forget about the metaphysics.

The person who answered this question first is wrong. The Muslim Koran says that Jesus did not die on the cross and that he is not the saviour of the world. The Bible says that Jesus IS the saviour. Well... which is it? How can these opposing beliefs lead to the same place? They can't. If that person knew more aboput the many opposing beliefs in the world she would have to conclude that what she said is wrong.

The question you should be asking is this:

What is the truth?

Jesus said he was.

If you want to know the truth, you will find it.

See, that's the problem. People today are too caught up in "religion" when they should be looking rather for the truth. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth & the life. No man comes to the Father except through Him. No religion involved. Just a desire to know the God who created you. Being a Catholic won't save you, a Baptist, a Muslim, a Hindu, or any other religious label. By faith are we saved through Jesus Christ. It is a gift. It's the only way to Father God.

Religion is when you have faith in something. There is no possible way that anyone can convince everyone to believe the same thing. That's why i hate when people press their religion on you... I'll believe what i want thank you.

sorry if this offends anyone

one that actually follows the teaching of Jesus... Christianity...
That is my belief.... Understand that I, in fact, could be in error and some other religion could be correct... or no religion might have the answer, and Atheist could be correct. But one thing is logically impossible: that is that all are correct for many are mutually exclusive in their belief systems.

Religion is man looking upward at God trying to figure Him out. Obviously, God is unseen. So, religion is often false. It bases doctrines upon human understanding which is faulty because we can't see all things at all times.

There is no true religion, but there is a true God. We should not seek a religion, but should ask, "Who is the true God? How can I know Him? How can I have a relationship with Him?" This means we seek the truth and do not settle upon false ideas.

There is no "correct" religion. Just many large groups claiming to be the "right" one. I, for one, do not have a religion. If God exists, then how can he ask you to choose? There are so many religions out there. Could God really say, "If you don't join this religion then you will go to Hell"? If it really is that way then God sounds like a jerk.

I do not believe there is one "correct" religion, although many religious extremists would disagree with me whole-heartedly on that belief.
