the reply(ies) give them a thumbs down. I seem to get a lot where the only possibly reason for it is their english is so basic they don't understand my reply. Am I really that obscure ?

you sentences are just too long, they tend to run on a little bit. try breaking them down so people don't have to read them 3 times.

'No. Don't worry. I asked a question and abuse came from all over the place because they did not understand what I asked. At first I was so upset I decided not to come on here ever again but then when I put the question again later in the day I got a completely different set of answers that were not at all abusive. I think there are lots of very young people on here as well as a lot of foreigners whose English is their second language and maybe they don't understand what is being said. Nevermind...they are practicing their English!

I had to read your question several times to get its full meaning, and I am a native English speaker with a degree level education. Perhaps you should practise putting your answers & questions in such simple terms that even a moron in a hurry could get their meaning at a single read.

**Hi Scrambulls is that better?Spell-Checker didn't pick up that particular typo. Sometimes we have to accept criticism even if its not couched in sympathetic terms.

I dont think You are obscure because of that. What I hate worse about though, is some one who answers in a foreign language, and this one time one was picked, as best answer, both communicating in Spanish. I would have reported it, but the answer had been picked.

Don't know.... perhaps they just disagree with your answer. Don't let it bother you to much... Sometimes I revel in several thumbs down... it means that I hit a sore spot and maybe got some people thinking. In any case, just because you get a thumbs down doesn't mean that your answer was necessarily incorrect...

Well i seen the answer you gave emma the other day, so i think it is self explanatory why you get them, you was quite rude for no reason what so ever!!!

People are voting on the basis of how they feel about your answer not necessarily on how accurate or how well worded your answer is. That's the thing where people are concerned, it's all subjective.
