I have a feeling that he's the most unpopular politician in this country's history. Is there anyone out there in YA land who has a positive opinion about him? Can you think of any U.S. politician who is/was more unpopular? (And don't mention any of the Clintons or Bushes, that just wouldn't be true).

And the funny thing is he's just the VP and in the back ground. You morons are starting to look like rabid dogs and I'm beginning to believe you need to all be taken care of like old yeller was.
Cheney is a brilliant man and yes I do like him.

The most unpopular president of all time is the toss up between Nixon and Carter. As something positive about Dick Cheney is the fact he knows how to pick winners. You do not become VP without knowing which backs to scratch. I love President Bush and how he is handling the War on Terror. Cheney I cannot stand at all. In all honesty to me he is a sorry excuse for VP and cannot carry the Republican Party. Why do you think he is not running for the office of the President when most of VPs ran for the office once their bosses term expired?

Well if you equate popularity to approval rating, Cheney hasn't quite gone as low as Bush, but almost (28% vs. 26% lowest, respectively).

The only presidents to have lower ratings were Nixon (23%) and Truman (22%). Cheney would be tied with Carter's lowest at 28%.

So presidents less approved of than Cheney would be Truman, Nixon, Bush, and tied with Carter. Notice from the first link above that for most of his term Cheney actually had over a 50% approval rating, which surprises me.

nobody likes politicians that much, especially vice president's, even of the smallest organizational clubs in school. sometimes people even forget the names of their vise presidents just because they get annually paid for their job: to sit around and wait for the president to die or make himself so sick so not to carry out his function. after their term, vise presidents carried out their jobs and got paid without even lifting their fingers.

There is a show on comedy central called "lil'Bush" It is a cartoon. During one episode they showed "lil dick cheney" ripping the head off of a chicken and drinking its blood. I thought it was a pretty accurate depiction....

I do. He is a good politican. He has made a big impact like he helped pass immigrations laws , helping the poor and needy and many more stuff. You need to learn your facts bro
