recently i bought a surround system which is Altec Lansing vs3251, it comes with 5 speaker and one sub woofer, i tried to connect it with my laptop with the help of 5.1 externeal sound card, it is use external sound car
i put all the wiring, checked it all twice but the problem is only two speakrs are working and subwoofer, the centre one and rear speakers arent working, the wiring is correct, install the driver for sound card as well
but i cant fix it
any one help me please

Sounds like a driver problem with the sound card. The other possibility is you do not have a 5.1 source or, as example, the DVD software is not set to 5.1 or does not provide for 5.1 in its software driver. Hardware usually works but drivers may not. Check all the settings in the DVD player software, external sound card software, and windows.

try , control panel sounds and audio devices speaker settings advanced scroll down and set it on 5.1
