That's sad; its always been kind of a tradition for the older ones to say that to young people in the crowd. And you said that to someone at a funeral? Kind of cold, yes?
I'm sure nothing but kindness was meant by them saying "you're next" that is the whole point of throwing the bouquet and garter.
Too many sweet traditions are stomped out, because people have a chip on their shoulder or take it so wrong. Wish we could rekindle that its alright to be older and youngsters have a little respect and room for them. Oh, remember, you're next and you'll wish that youngsters were kinder to you...

Turn around is fair play, but keep your humour light. A lot of old people don't appreciate being reminded that their time is getting short.
I am 55 and only too aware that I am mortal, but it doesn't really matter to me, I've grown to realize, and to accept, that I must go when my time is up.
Enough about me rdnckwmn, when are you going to walk down that aisle?

Those old farts just say that and poke you so they have an excuse to cop a quick feel of your lovely,tight,young,little body....Next time punch them hard when you get poked.
