I'm diabetic so I have to watch my sugars including carbohydrates. I buy quality hot dogs with 1 or less grams of carbohydrates per dog. I use them for snacks and almost always eat them uncooked. I have been doing so for 5 or 6 years and I have never had any sort of problem that I could attribute to the hot dogs.
So as far as I am concerned the short answer is YES, it is okay.

yep. Hot Dogs are pre-cooked. Boiling or heating them up is just because a lot of people prefer them cooked.

Yes, if it is a normal packaged hot-dog and not one you bought on the street in Germany that is uncooked. Most dogs are pre-cooked.

Think of everything that a hot dog is made out of...now think about eating it.

It is for me. Either raw since I was a kid, and now I just nuke it for 23 seconds. It's processed and cooked already, so it's no biggee.

Hot dogs are fully cooked, so it isn't necessary to heat them up.
