battery charger: lumix panasonic DE-A41
battery pack: lumix panasonic CGA-S005A
camera: lumix panasonic DMC-FX12

these things were made for use in the u.s., and i'm going to austria, czech, and hungary

it says on the charger:

Nope, you will need to get an adapter.

U.S. uses a 60Hz frequency.
In Europe they use a 50Hz frequency.

Not the same thing.
Unless you like charges and battery's bursting into flames

The only problem is the CPS on the power, your charger may be able to handle 60 Cycles per Second, but the electricity that may come out of a European power system might work on a different frequency, so be careful.

Try Radio Shack. They have international adapters.
