Okay, I have a friend that lives next door to me. She's 12 years old and obese (She doesn't go to the same school as me though). Her height is 4'11 and weighs 215lb. Anyways, her parents would make fun of her weight by laughing at her, calling her a fat cow, telling her that she's ugly, would make oinking sounds whenever she eats, and in school, it's not so great either, as the kids in school would do the same thing. Recently, she called me and she was crying, because her parents invited the school mates (Most of them live in the same neighborhood) to come to her house and they helped the kids throw waterballoons at her, taunt her, and called her insulting names like fatty, porky, etc. now she's thinking of hanging herself. What can I do to solve this?

TELL YOUR PARENTS and make them aware of the situation. They should then call social services. The poor girl needs help and her parents are just antagonizing an already painful situation. Talk to the girl if you can and try to make her feel better about herself until an adult can take over. But please try to get her help tell your parents or the school counselor.

Yes this is bad!! You can help her build her self-esteem up, help her to eat right, healthier, & lessier portions. You and her can go walking on afternoons and talk things out. Tell her parents how their teasing & taunting is leading their daughter to think. Become a closier friend than yuo already are to her. Make her feel special when she doesn't & invite in some of your plans sometimes.

she needs new parents if there that mean - literally her parents are abusing her in a non-physical way and tell her to ignore the kids at school and if her parents do something like that again tell her to go to were ever there's a lock on the door and lock it so they can't get her.

Talk to your parents about this situation. Someone with Child Services needs to be notified. This is emotional and physical abuse. The poor girl needs help, not harassment.

Call Social Services this is abuse. They may think they are helping her by shaming her into losing weight but they are causing deep emotional problems that she will carry into adulthood (if she lives that long).

Either you or your parents need to call social services. What her parents put her through is mental abuse and it is probably their fault that she is overweight. They probably didn't enforce good eating habits and allowed her to eat to that point. It is one thing to be an overweight child, but she is morbidly obese.

this behavior needs to be stopped RIGHT NOW! Let your parents know what is going on and urge them to call someone for help for this girl. She is not old enough to stand up for herself and needs another adult to help her not another young adult or child...please tell your parents and let them help you with this.

call the cops and tell them what the parents are doing then tell them what your friend is planning before it is to late. I am sure the cops will do something about it.
