Their aren't too many Deists trying to pass restrictive laws over the rest of us.

Works fine for me. A deist god wouldn't tell you to vote against women's rights, civil rights, or gay rights.

Slightly less deluded than those of a 'faith' but still retaining an irrational belief in the supernatural without evidence.

really? don't you ever get people telling you that deism is on the path to atheism? i'm sure i've heard that somewhere. mind you the sort of people who say that will also gloat about 'conversion' of atheists to deism, as if deism was compatible with their beliefs.

do you consider yourself agnostic? as an atheist, i often find i have more points of disagreement with "gnostics" than i do with theists.
