LOL, you don't want your sword sharpened. Two handed swords and 1 1/2 handed swords were never really sharp anyway, because they are heavy enough to cause really bad damage and cuts even without a sharp edge. They were used in a battle against armoured opponents and they were heavy enough to dent/pierce armour. Sharpened edge would just weaken them and cause them to be more liable to breakage.

As to about cleaning: if the sword is real iron, not some sort of a stainless steel, all you need is a very fine sandpaper (about 800 or 1000 range). Polish the surface until all the rust spots are removed, then cover it with some oil that doesn't harden, like gun oil or sewing machine oil.

Most local police stations have sword sharpening kits for free public use. Just run through the front door holding the sword over your head while yelling.

You need to find a swordsmith. There are many people who deal in ancient-style weaponry, but depending on where you live, it may be difficult to find one.

Try looking on the web for swordsmiths. If that doesn't help, try a search for the nearest Medieval Faire. There are usually dealers at those places! They may be able to help you find the professionals you need.

Wash it with soapy blood from your enemies and sharpen it on their bones at a 22.5 degree angle.

My realm is semi-automatic weapons. If you buy a Bushmaster or a handgun, I'll be happy to help you.
