If you two have really hit it off and enjoy each other, that should be all that matters.. who cares what other people think as long as you're happy. Its no ones business but your own. My mom is 42 and married to a 35 year old... no biggie!

My advice to you is to run into this guys arms before it is too late. You have a guy you love who loves you back, he is loving, caring, mature, and almost a college graduate..Yet you have a problem with him.Is there something wrong with you?You can see that I'm just trying to shock you into seeing what you potentially might be giving up by being sarcastic. Please don't judge this guy based on what transpired with your brother's relationship. While I can not guarantee that your relationship with him is going to be a long one, you can not guarantee that it is going to be a short one because of a one year age difference.Take all the happiness you can get from where ever it comes. You owe your self that much. Don't you agree?.

I was a year younger then my old girlfriend and it all worked out fine. Bothered me a bit cause I like to be the older one but then I got over it. Age shouldnt matter in a relationship as long as you treat each other with respect

You love him, so age doesn't matter, as long as he's mature, just because he's younger don't look at him like a little kid, every "MAN" can always make a 40 year old, feel like a young lady, my brother married a girl 7 years older than him, living happy with a 1 year old baby...it happend to me to, i rounded my age, it didn't bother me or her....
good luck

Your brother's relationship is not yours. Take charge of your relationship by telling him how you feel about his dishonesty, and work things out from there. To be honest he is probably intimidated by an older woman, but is not afraid to take the challenge, and neither should you! If you truly like him, then age won't matter. When it comes to Love, numbers have no meaning.

I also don't see anything with dating him. For me, I also have a problem with dating a guy younger than me, but right now i am in a releation ship with a guy who is 6 months younger than I. One year isn't anything. The same problems you will have in your releation with him will be the same one you have with one your own age. Just do it. It you let it go you will be missing out on something good.

One year is the same as being the same age. You are being a bit weird and neurotic. At that age I was dating a girl 5 years older....there were issues there, but one year is nothing.

I've gone out with guys a year younder before.
Everything is fine.
The two guys were open to anything cause I was older.
Right now I actually like this younger guy.
I will update you to see if I get with him.
Your relationship will be better than ever.

if you really love him, then age shouldn't bother you. it's only one year, which ain't a big deal at all. if you guys make each other happy and you really really want this to work, forget age. don't worry what other people think, as long as you love him and he loves you, your relationship will turn out fine.
