evil spirits?

have you ever been lying down sleeping and then suddenly you wake up and you cant move or talk because the night i came home from jades house i felt something.......evil and it scared the hell out of me and now i cant sleep because there is just this feeling i keep getting

The world of course has an explanation for this, but I have had the same experience several times in my youth, and am convinced it is a demon spirit.
Once I was lying on my bed napping, when I sensed something emanating out of the wall in front of me, coming over to my bed, and I felt it as it bowed down over me and it seemed as if I felt it breathing on my neck. I was physically paralyzed yet fully conscious, and in my terror I heard within myself calling on the name of Jesus. Interestingly, this didn't arise out of my mind, but out of the core of my being, which is where the Bible says our spirit resides. Instantly the presence departed, and as it left it seemed to pass into a mist behind me, through the wall at the head of my bed, and as it left I recall hearing chains clanking, very reminiscent of the ghost of Jacob Marley from Dickens' "Christmas Carol".
I laid there, now fully awake, and in possession of my physical faculties, and realized that what I had experienced was not a dream, but a spiritual visitation, and not one from a benevolent spirit.
I took it from God as a wake up call, because I was at that time a born again Christian - I believed myself to be in right relationship with God through faith in Christ; but I was not progressing in my spiritual life, and still dabbling in things I knew in my conscience to be wrong.
I have had other similar experiences, but since that day have devoted myself to the study of the Scriptures, and come into a clearer understanding of the true nature of the spirit realm. The word of God says this:
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
James 4:7
As a Christian, if I do not give heed to the plain instruction of God, I have learned that Satan and his demons will gain all the ground in my life that I allow him to. It's kind of like living life in the jungle and leaving your doors open at night. Something is going to come in and hurt you if you don't use sense. God has given us what we need to deal with the Devil and his demons, namely the authority of the name of Jesus, faith, His Holy Spirit, the Word of God, which is the Bible (Jesus confronted Satan repeatedly with this phrase: "It is written..."). God is patient with us as new borns in Christ, but eventually we must grow up and take our rightful place in the family of God.

I believe there are evil spirits in this world. If you believe there is a satan and he has demons then you believe there are evil spirits. Satan is quite subtle in the way he goes about getting people to think what we believe to be normal activites to actually be something evil. I have felt evil before and I have known the presence of satan but the presence and power of God is much greater. If you are a believer in God, his Son Jesus Christ then you tell that evil spirit "In the name of Jesus, I rebuke you" and then give God the glory. Evil cannot be in the presence of God. I have had dreams where I could not move or talk and it is a very scary feeling. Where it comes from, why it happens, I don't know. I've never been able to connect it with anything specific but if you believe what has happened to you to be something evil then do what I said and that evil presence will leave and God will give you the peace that you need. Just remember evil can only go as far as you allow it to go. Stand up to it, make it go away, show that spirit that it has no power over you.
Please let us know what happens when you are rid of this evil that you feel you have present in your life. Pray on your knees, humble yourself before God and you will sleep without fear.

Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

My mother taught me this verse years ago when I was a child and I have carried it with me and remembered it. It has helped me many times when I was afraid for different reasons. I hope that this will be of some help to you also.

Yes there is evil spirits that can attack us from without and within. I do not know why some Christians think that they cannot be affected by evil spirits. Most of the evil spirits Jesus dealt with was in the "church".

Don't pray to Michael the arch angel or any dead saints, that is a catholic doctrine that is false. Jesus said He was the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one can come to the Father except through Him(Jesus). Any other way is a false way.

Deliverence will help, however, you must be a born again believer or the spirits will come back with 7 times the spirits as before, and more wicked.

I am 44 yrs old and this is the first time that I have ever heard anyone else mention this occuring to them too and I searched for many years. So I know how frightening it was for me the first time it happened. Your answeres make it sound so plause' but this is what I have found to be true in my case after reading many books. It may sound odd but my soul likes to be some what of a social buterfly and these are the times that my mind wakes before the soul returns. I can feel sometimes when it is going to happen but just allow it since I don't fear it any longer. I have even woke up to what sounded like quite a party going on in my bedroom. early on though at times I too just felt a dark evil presence just out of my perifrial field of vision but I couldn't even turn to face it. That's pre-sleep paralysis and it's very common. It happens to all kinds of people including me. If you want to sleep my advice is to simply think a happy thought and let yourself drift away.

If you think 'evil spirit' instead, then because you're partially in a dream an evil spirit will indeed appear, or rather something that approximates your impression of what an evil spirit looks like will appear.

walk close with Jesus. you could rapid and pray to be filled greater with the Holy Spirit. there's a verse contained in the bible the place Jesus says "this form of demon/spirit can in basic terms pass away (the physique) with the aid of prayer and fasting" i'm advantageous with fasting and praying spirits is often cut back out out of your existence. draw on the factor of Jesus Christ and you're risk-free. He has conquered the international and ALL spirits are under His call and could flee contained in the call OF JESUS CHRIST.

Just wait... it gets bigger and better! That is, if you don't fear or fight it when it happens.
Its a kind of fear test...if it happens again, relax and let it pass...you're not going anywhere anyway...and see what happens. Try wiggling your toes if you really cant stand it, that's what I did the first time it happened, and it vanished!

basiclly you dreamed it [but remember it because it seemed so frightening ] bought on by minour fears
next time take the initiative project love [light at ''it'' , love conquers all ],love chases the ''bad'' away ,it allows you to get proactive ], not just parilised with fear ,but to pass the ''test'' your own dreaming set
