My friend told me that for guys, sex is just sex. It's just an instinct. So my question is, do guys get aroused just looking at any pretty girl or is it essential for most guys to have it if there are emotions involved? Also, will they get the same kind of satisfaction having sex with the one they love and someone without emotional attachment?

YES.
SEX IS NOT LOVE, AND LOVE IS NOT SEX.
Sex happens in the bedroom (or wherever LOL!) and is solely based on the concept of natural ATTRACTION. Getting "emotionally invloved" with someone does NOT depend on that. The two RARELY - if ever - go hand in had. Certainly not for men.
In very simple terms . . . .
SEX HAPPENS >> INSIDE << THE BEDROOM.
LOVE HAPPENS >> OUTSIDE << THE BEDROOM.
GREAT SEX IS THE PLEASURE YOU >> GET <<.
GREAT LOVE IS THE LOVE YOU >> GIVE <<.
While the two go very nice together at times, combining and confusing them will almost CERTAINLY lead to chaos and disappointment.
Please for your own sake and sanity - don't take a lifetime to figure that out.

No. The fact that she is pretty is nowhere NEAR enough to get a man "AROUSED". Interested in getting aroused, maybe . . . but not ACTUALLY aroused.

Men will read that question and it will not compute. No men do not NEED to have an emotional attachment to a woman to have satisfying sex witrh her.
Haven't you ever wondered why cheating, porn and prostitution are so popular?? Its most certainly NOT because men are FULFILLED by the "pretty" girls who dont have sex with them. So you will notice that they dont even have to know her NAME to have sex with her.

Not nescessarily. A husband of 10 years may no longer have any genuine sexual interest in his wife . . . it happens frequently . . . even though he may ABSOLUTELY and TRULY love her. . . . while stioll having the CAPACITY to get "just sex" from somewhere else.
It may be morally wrong, but that's not what you are ASKING here.

We dont' need an emotional attachment. If a guy doesn't crave other women, he is either gay or has no penis. Myself and my friends spend the majority of our time talking about how we would like to have sex with random women who we see and think are hot. Its not like we are young either, we are all in our 30's and 40's and a few in their 50's. So its not just young guys. Its old married guys too. I would love to have sex with every attractive woman i see, which is alot, however, i am married and I am not the cheating type. Thats the hardest part about being married, the temptation. For instance, I have 2 very hot neighbors, so the temptation is there, but i do not act on it. So, yes most men can sleep with whoever, no emotions needed. To me, its just sex , with my wife, it is a little more attached, but its still the physical act. By the way, 90% of the guys i know cheat. I am in the minority and they all love their wives, but they need multiple partners. I wish I could do it without the guilt ,but that stops me from cheating.

Just remember, the guy is not the person who gets pregnant. They aren' the ones who get called dirty names because of sex; at least not first or right a way. Unless there's some emotions like a REAL relationship, I don't think males have the same strain females do.

If you spend your time dreaming about the perfect relationship you are either a woman or gay. Women, look for perfection, but most guys don't care. They don't mind having sex with anyone as long as they are hot.
Personally, I'm a christian and no I don't believe in sex for the sake of sex. But many guys do, most of them do, but not all. They are realistic, and no that no relationship is perfect, so they dont bother, they bang anyone who is willing.

many guys can get aroused by any pretty girl. it is in our dna to plant as many seeds as we can. some guys actually need emotional attraction to have sex.

yes of coz, guys are different from ladies, unless those guys with strong religous thinking if not mosts of them can have sex with other women without any emotonal attachment, however it will feel more great when we have sex with ladies which we have feeling for.

I, personally, cannot see myself having sex with someone I don't have strong feelings for.

yes its true. it is impossible for a guy to think a girl is hot and not want to have sex with her. guys would have sex with any women who is not ugly. and if they love you, sex is better.
