I would take him into your vet in the morning and have blood work run on him. He may have been bitten and he may indeed have rabies. If he is on any type of medication (such as steroids (medrol or prednisone) then the medication may be making him act this way.
I would definately take him in first thing in the am.
Good luck and creat him for the evening so he doesn't hurt you or anyone in your family.

Your description does NOT make clear what happened.
A good dog does NOT try to jump into a car to bite a person.
How do you know he jumped in to bite you?
How did he act?
Did you do anything to tease him?
Now it's really ridiculous to say "he almost really killed me". That's not a description of what happened. It doesn't say what you were doing. It doesn't say what HE did. If he REALLY almost killed you, you'd have bite marks and be bleeding and have to go to the hospital so you're making this comment up because you are upset at SOMETHING he did, but you have NOT told us WHAT YOU DID and WHAT THE DOG DID!
Don't ask us questions when you're not willing to tell us ALL the truth of what happened.
You should talk to your parents AND TELL THEM -ALL- THE DETAILS YOU HAVE LEFT OUT HERE!
YOU need to respect the dog and I suspect you do not.
The dog needs to respect YOU and obviously he does NOT and there is a SERIOUS problem going on here. The first person who should deal with this is your father.

If your dog did indeed try to bite you in the way you just described, no one should give a crap why he did it. Put him down today. It does not matter why all these lame people here tell you. NO DOG IS EVER ALLOWED TO BITE ITS OWNER, regardless of what the owner did. Period.
If things happened as you said, stay away from the dog and tell your parents exactly what went on and what you want done. Please, do not listen to any sorry *** excuses offered here by anyone as to why he tried what he did. He will never be able to be trusted again.
I put a dog down years a go that was with me for almost 7 years and was worth thousands of dollars. He made the same mistake as your dog did. I could never live with that dog again and trust him. Good luck.

well was the bite a really aggressive one or play one?you know how they play and chew or barley chew on you when you play with them?
Also he maybe have smelled the other dogs on you too?
As well as just so excited to see ya!
Have you been mean to h I'm lately or maybe he just having some anxiety issues?
what does you mom and dad say?
Good luck with him and if he cont's. the aggressive behavior take hm to see your Vet to make sure It isn't something of a medical nature dear!
I wouldn't do anything drastic until you found out for sure if he is turning mean!
I hope he will be okay!
God bless!

I would think that there is more to this story than meets the eye. But do not take greekmans advice. If the dog really attacked you then it would have to be put down as by law. But Like I said....there is something that you are not telling us. A dog has just as much right to defend itself as humans do and if you did something to him he will act this way towards you .

When you say "almost killed you" what do you mean? because if a dog almost killed you really you would put it to sleep and have no doubts, if your dog just growled at you-- the chill out-- its your fault for not training and socializing the dog properly so you should take him to training with someone who specializes in aggression.. good luck

What happened was this:
You petted 2 other dogs, you did not wash their scent off you, and your dog got jealous.
Pure and simple.
It felt like you were "cheating" on it.
It's not really the dogs fault, that is their nature, it is similar to marking their territory.
You let another animal invade it's territory, it didn't like it.
Next time take more care in cleaning yourself after you interact with another animal.

Is this dog socialized? Is it obedience trained and knows you are alpha? I know the answer to these questions. So why not? Now you have a badly behaved dog. Not the dogs fault.

maybe (no offence) the dog was dumb and he could smell the other dog on you and thought you were an intruder.
