Why wouldn't he tell me he exisited ? you know, like spelling out in the clouds, or giving everyone a voice in theirs heads at the same time, or buying some Superbowl Sunday commercial time. Why would he leave it up to some clueless christian and a 1600 year old book? This god does not seem to smart!

P.s. Yeah , yeah ... i have been told I am going to hell before. save your breathe!

let's start with the 1600 year old document. one of the earliest New testament fragments is from 50AD..Now this is within just a few years of the death and resurrection of Jesus. If you took the lectionaires, papyri, uncials miniscules from this time and before (lectionaires) you could almost completely have the present new testament. So the next question is why should you be so sa[ecial that God would go you know I want him to really get it he should get a direct sign so he doesn't need faith nor to look for me. And what would make any of us believe that the day after this you would go " It was just a figment of my imagination or something I ate"?

He doesn't tell you because He wants you to have faith and believe that He does exists. Spelling it out in the clouds and what not obviously defeats this purpose. However, I apologize for those who have told you you're going to Hell because it's not the place of a Christian to do so. Christians are supposed to love everyone just as Christ loved. If more of them applied this principle I truly believe there would be more harmony between them and others who don't share their beliefs.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

God has revealed Himself in nature, our consciences, in flesh, in history and in places in the Bible.

Heb 11:1 Faith is the substance of things not seen.

2 Corinthians 4:16-20 (New American Standard Bible)
16Therefore we (A)do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our (B)inner man is (C)being renewed day by day.

17For momentary, (D)light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,

18while we (E)look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Because God is a little shy saving Himself for people who truly seek Him. He is patient to wait on people to ask for Him. And lastly, because He desires our willing worship. He doesn't want to force Himself on anyone. He wants us to willingly crown Him Lord over us.

If God gave undeniable evidence of His existence, then we humans would be forced to believe. We would be forced into submission. We could not deny God. The angels already live in such a state. No matter what, they cannot deny God. And thus, they are forced to obey God. Whenever Jesus cast demons out of people, the demons were forced to obey because they could not deny God.

However, God gave us freedom. We can deny God freely and disobey Him. We can believe whatever we want, and give our worship to any God. Whatever we give our life to and put first in our life becomes our God. We are not forced to bow down to the true God. We can submit our lives to anything or anyone even an imaginary friend. We could worship ourselves or worship a statue.

God is immensely intelligent. He wants you to love Him. The choice is yours to make. Will you seek Him out sincerely to offer your love? Or will you chase after another God which is the essence of sin? He leaves it entirely opened ended because anyone who truly believes in Him does so freely. They were not forced. That is smart.

You tell us to save our breaths as though you know what we're going to answer. Tsk tsk tsk.

Anyway, has it occurred to you that perhaps you're setting your sights too high? God didn't reveal Himself to ME like that, and He usually doesn't.

However, if you're really searching, He WILL reveal Himself to you in other ways. Instead of looking to the Bible and to Christians for the answers, try looking to God. Do you want to believe? Tell Him. Ask Him to show you that He exists. But don't expect Him to appear in a burning bush and hand you two stone tablets.

Lol, I am not clueless... God never picked the best and the brightest because he wanted everyone to know that they could come to him through Jesus that it was not by our works that we are saved but by God's grace...

God bless, I hope you make it to heaven...

If he does exist he is probly just bored so he likes to watch the tiny people fight over who is right on Yahoo answers. I don't blame him that sounds fun.

I'll answer your question with one of my own -

If you don't believe in a Christian god (I don't either,) what purpose does it serve your speculating on it's nature?

Just wondering.
