I kind of pray the same way. I'll be sitting at work or watching TV and be thinking about people and their needs. Sometimes you can feel intense because you are feeling the prayer through the Holy Spirit. Ideas are great, God understands every thought no matter how it comes.

I usually pray in my thoughts. I like to use the Lord's Prayer (Our Father, etc.) as like an outline. That gets me started and I go from there into all kinds of prayers. Then during the day I just pray whenever something comes to mind. I can be sitting, standing or whatever; sometimes on my knees if something seems very urgent. I admit that I rarely pray on my knees now since I have trouble getting up.

God hears every prayer and you're right, He does listen. He doesn't care how or what words you use or even if you don't use words at all. He hears them all. The times you think you can feel Him listening? He's sending you His love.
Personally, I pray the rosary out loud, every day, tho not always on my knees, b/c frankly my knees can't take it. I've felt that feeling before, of getting so into it that I can feel him listening to me. I lift my face and raise my hands to the sky, have even cried from the sheer intensity of the feelings I've picked up, the love He and Jesus send me when I pray.
You're not crazy honey, He does indeed hear you and you're way... is perfectly all right with Him. God Bless.

Prayer is a constant state of mind for me. Its like, "I want the Lord to hear every thought I have". I'm constantly talking to Him. I dont know, its not something i had to make myself do. I've just become that way as I've become stronger in my faith. I do set aside times for more formal prayers, and then I am alone and able to talk out loud. I usually tell God that I know he's listening, and he already knows everything I have need of. I praise Him for the things he's blessed me with, and I usually repent of sin first if there is something I havent repented of yet or am still struggling with. I will admit to Him that he's my only source of true righteousness, that none of that is my own. Then, if there are other needs, i'll ask for ones for others, and then what i have need of. I ask that His will be done in those things. If I feel like my heart is not humble, I'll ask before anything else for God to prepare my heart to talk to Him. Sometimes my out loud conversations carry on for hours, because I talk like i'm talking with a close friend. I dont just ask for stuff, i tell Him everything that's happened and what i was thinking when it happened and after i'd thought about it. I dont get to do this every day (have a conversation like that) but its an awesome experience. Especially when you can see how your attitude and emotions change over the course of you just talking to Him. I dont think you have to use big words when you pray, and i dont think it has to be that formal when you are alone. I dont think there should be a limit on how long you pray when youre alone either. I think you should let the Spirit lead in those matters. But God also wants us to be faithful to do our work and obligations here on earth.
The best thing about prayer in my opinion is that you've got someone who's always awake and never too busy to talk to you for as long as you need to talk to Him!
God Bless!

I usually pray out loud. I pray God's will according to the scriptures, in the Name of Jesus. Sometimes I pray by thoughts. God does understand.

It really depends on what is happening. Sometimes I pray to God out loud. Sometimes I go to a quiet place and have a personal talk with God. I usually talk instead of just thinking my thoughts. Something we Catholic's are famous for.

I pray in many different ways. If I have a very intense prayer about something bad I will sometimes say it or yell it. I don't think it matters. He hears us anyway. God Bless.

My husband is Christian - he prays the most in his truck. He spends a lot of time driving to and from work, and talks to Jesus during this time. Especially since his shift starts in the middle of night, there is a sense of silence and peace. Or so he tells me. He talks outloud, because there is no one around to hear him, or see him.
He tells me he talks about everything, it doesn't matter what. Everything with Jesus. There are no specific preset prayers or detailed notes. He just empties out his heart, driving to and from work.
Since we pray to the same G-d: it doesn't matter what language you pray in, or how you pray. Instead, you should think about making your life a constant living prayer to G-d. Don't worry about anything else - instead concentrate on being in the presence of G-d as much as possble. You may be speaking to other people, seeing the world go by - but your heart can be in the presence of G-d at that very moment.

Since prayers are merely messages for the subconscious....my *prayers* are always spoken in the present tense...and I only speak in positives..not negatives...the subconscious understands that way--its a lot like hypnosis..actually, it IS hypnosis :)
