Long story short: A guy that works with my mom bought one of the puppies my dog had a year ago. He called a few months back to ask about dog sitting for a week over the 4th of July. My husband said no problem.

Well in the mean time, I totally forgot. Ended up getting a bulging disc in my neck and now I am set for surgery this Friday. When I found out about surgery it was too late to cancel.

I thought for sure it was going to be an easy task..boy was I wrong. She has only been here for a day, and she has peed and pooped ALL over my house. Gives us no sign of needing to go out..btw we have a doggie door and a medium sized fenced in yard. She knows about the doggie door too, cause she followed the other three outside.

If you look at her or try to sit on the floor to play she pees all over. Big time submissive pee'er. I think she is nervous too.

How much should I charge for the 8.5 days they will be gone? He said whatever I wanted to charge was fine with them.

I was thinking of charging $15 a day, too much or not enough?

Thanks petlvr
They did bring her food, bed, toys and treats.
I have a nice cool breeze way that connects to the house(this is where the doggie door is) so I am going to keep her out there.
My dogs try to play with her, but she doesnt want to do anything. Hoping her nerves settle a bit.

I think this dog is spoiled beyond spoiled. They have me mix 1/2 handful of chopped carrots, tomatos and greenpeppers in her dry food!!
Im guessing this dog does no wrong in their eyes.

I will tell you I think I would put the dog outside if its pretty and NOT hot where you live during the day .
Make sure It has plenty of fresh water/food/and cool place to hang out like dog house under a tree...
Can your dogs go out to play with her or not?

I do agree I think it is just so nervous of its new surroundings and having some separation anxiety from its owner ,probably !!

Did her owner bring her food with her or do you have to supply that as well?
I would say that $100. would be a fair enough deal to ask for .

Listen i keep 2 children during the day while their dad is at work and their mom sleeps as she works at night .
They pay me $50- 60 weekly course they are kin to me so I don't charge as much.

so yeah! $75 - $100 would be find to ask for!
Well , i sure hope things get better for you and prayers to you for your up coming neck surgery dear!

Too,for the doggie!

Take care

$120 bcuz it is a problem dog
and punish her when she pees put her outside until she goes to the bathroom
if she keeps going in the house put her outside if its not hot
make sure she has enough shade food and water
try throw a ball for her or let her swim
pet her and reassure her that everything is okay--MAKE SURE YOU ARE OUTSIDE JUST INCASE SHE PEES
good luck =]

If she is staying in your house, I'd charge $20-$25.00 a day.

POOR DOG. I WONDER HOW IT'S TREATED AT HOME?

I HAVE TWO DOGS. BOTH ARE CONSIDERED SMALL. BOTH ARE SHIH-TZUS. BOTH ARE HOUSE BROKEN.

THEY REQUIRE DAILY BRUSHING & LOTS OF LOVE AND ATTENTION.

I HAVE A LADY WHO KEEPS THEM IN HER HOME. SHE TAKES THEM TO WORK WITH HER.(SHE WORKS AT THEIR GROOMERS PLACE OF BUISNESS) SHE IS GREAT!! SHE CHARGES $34.00 A DAY.

I CAN NOT IMMAGINE ANYONE ASKING YOU TO KEEP A DOG THAT IS NOT HOUSE BROKEN.

GOOD LUCK!!! NEXT TIME I BET YOU WILL ASK BEFORE YOU AGREE.
