It must be a generational thing because I don't remember Mt. MF. I do however remember the infamous "Nellies Tit" during ITR training at Camp Pendleton.
I climbed her twice and I can tell you, it wasn't any easier the second time.

They still do.... the fourth week of phase II... so week eight of boot... is the week the recruits complete the three-day Crucible... They live on little sleep and long humps... with limited rations... And it ends with them climbing/storming that mountain Once that's done, it's a downhill hump to the barracks, medical, and the warriors breakfast... Then they have a day or so to clean all their gear and pack back up to head back to MCRD.
I know my son will never forget it...

This hill must change names every other year. We called it Goat's Run when I was in 2nd ITR. Our one of our combat days we had to come down after an all day of humping hills. It was raining like hell. It was so wet, muddy, slippery, and steep. Probably the worst night I spent in the Corps. When we got back to the huts they had two containers: one was hot coffee and the other was hot water to dunk our weapons in. So some jerk sticks his rifle in the coffee. It was an accident, of course, and didn't stop us from drinking the coffee
My son made that same trek down when he was in SOI. He said the only that kept him going was the fact that if Dad can do it I can do it. That made me feel good.
