About how much time??
about how much time daily do u need to devote to a hamster- when school starts i will have a total of about 2 hours free time during the week and that is if :
i get home @3 hw for 2 hours, play with my bunny for an hour, eat dinner (gave myself an hour) , and then i go to bed at 9 so that leaves me at 2 hours or maybe a lil more or a lil less depending

i normally let my bunny run while i do homework......but sometimes its dangerous- she ate half of math homework one time!

well my daughter has one and when she gets home form work seh lets her hamster run around in teh ball while she is doing her school work. After dinner she spends about 1/2 hour or so to handle and play with Pandy ( hamster)
She cleans the cage once a week usually on Sat. when she has more time other than that just makesure it has food and water and something to chew on.
Oh she alos has a ferret,cat and dog and fish and she has time for all

Well in the evenining you have to feed and make sure there is water in the cage and at night you have to hold your hamster and pet your hamster for about 5 minutes! And once a week you have to clean the cage! And you should put your hamster in a ball to run around in for about 15 minutes but you don't have to! You need to play with your hamster every day!

I would say 2 hours a day is the best

not to much, but not to less,
2-3-4 hours a day
but 1 thing you have to do every day is change there water in the morning...
just try to devote as much time as humanley possible:)

At least 30 minutes a day should be good. I'd vary that from time to time. As long as you spend time with him I'm sure he'll do fine.

not to much..since they practically take care of themselves. just make sure you change the water in its bottle and keep its food fresh and neat. also clean its cage once or twice a week. play with him when u have the chance. if u are reading a book, puit him in ur pokcket and it will probobly sleep there. make sure oxugen gets inside ur pocket though. i did that with my hamsters and he would always sleep in my pocket.

why can't you have the hamster out while your doing homework? my rats are out with me while i'm doing mine.
