Dogs don't pick up the same bugs as people, but they can get food poisoning in the same way.
Take the puppy in now... here is the reasoning...
Dogs, especially Labs, are always hungry. So if they don't want to eat, that is a sign that they are sick. You probably want to see a Vet...
With a Lab, not only are they hungry, but they eat everything ! And your pup could have eaten something very bad, or could have eaten something that caused a blockage. Only a Vet can tell...
I'm assuming that you are like me and that you don't supervise your pup 100% of the time... and that he could get into the trash, or pick up something off of the floor, if he wanted too...

Your dog would not have caught an illness from your family because humans and dogs don't share viruses except for a select few that are RARE. BUT, your dog may be picking up on the sick mentality and becoming stressed. I have noticed that when I am stressed, my dogs get stresssed and occasionally throw up due to nervousness.
If it has been more than a couple days that he has kept anything down, I would go to the vet, especially with him being a puppy and needing all the nutrients he can get. They can usually give some meds to help the nausea and help him keep his food down.

Get the puppy to the vet quickly. Dehydration could result if he can't keep anything down. Also, make sure there is no blood in the vomit. My lab kept vomiting and it turned out to be collitis. Labs also have very sensitive stomachs so I would give him Nutro puppy sensitive stomach formula once the vet diagnoses and gets him back to normal. Cheap dog food does not work well with Labs. DO NOT MEDICATE YOUR DOG ON YOUR OWN!

Sorry, but this is the reason why reputable breeders will not sell 2 puppies together. It is extremely difficult to train 2 pups of the same age, They need to be seperated & given individual attention & training. You need to find some way of keeping them out of the main parts of the house when you are not there to supervise, confining them to a small area will speed up their house training. If you have the room, I would get an outside kennel & bring the puppies into the house one at a time to train. Enrol in a good training class where the trainers will be able to suggest different methods. Good Luck By the way - the person who said cheese causes peritonitis is talking rubbish!

I would definitly take him to a vet as well. In the mean time, there's a chart for "puppy medicine cabinet" which you can give your dog Pepto-Bismal Relieves gas, vomiting & diarrhea
1 tsp / for every 5 lb. every 6 hours. If you scroll down the page the chart is yellow. Hope that helps :)

No, most illnesses are not able to be passed from humans to animals or the other way around. You need to get to a vet. Your dog could have a blockage, and he could need surgery.
GET TO A VET!
