I have seen so many teens and tweens post this question, it is beginning to make me sick. When did you lose your virginity and was it the right time? What are your views on this issue?

In my opinion there is no age limit, but rather at the point where one is mature enough to handle the different emotions from physical intimacy. The other key component is RESPONSIBILITY. This is the main one, You have to know what your getting yourself into, with whom and what are ALL the risks associated with it,like pregnancy, STD's, no call backs etc.. If you can deal with all those things if one should happen to you then by all means go for it.

Not until you're 18 at least, and then, not until you're in love and the guy/ girl is really worth it. Teens any younger are just not ready to handle this emotionally, and DEFINITELY not ready to handle any "accidents" that may come as a result.

It's truly frightening how many "I'm 14 and pregnant" questions there seem to be floating around here.

For the record, I was 18 and didn't even like the guy much... I should have waited. But at least I had sense enough to use condoms.

After you are married - we have been so desensitized to please ourselves and rationalize it, but to have a life -long relationship and not make a myriad of painful mistakes wait until marriage.
Your virginity is your special, great gift to be given to someone who has committed their life to you. Then enjoy it as much as you want.
Having sex before marriage brings lack of satisfaction, life-long thoughts about partners you have had, and because of having been sexually active about ones you want to have after marriage
This is a big reason the divorce rate is so high - we have to acknowledge this. Knowing your spouse has been with someone else is never really reconciled, and painful.
Take the more difficult road of true love and commitment, and wait for your marriage.
Plus... We waited three years until we were married to have sex. It is a blessing the world does not know. It is frequent, passionate and we never tire of each other. Isn't that what we want?
No worries about STDs, partners that take off because of pregnancy, etc.
And you don't know when it's right and not right when you are young and in love.. you don't have enough life experience - it always seems right... please. Wait for marriage.

Teens can start asking these questions, but tweens are far too young. They should still be playing with dolls and toy trucks, in a sandbox.

My views are that too many " Children" are having sex when they should be concentrating on their Homework, cleaning their rooms and doing things that are Constructive, like learning to Grow to become responsible adults in their society. Their is NEVER an Emergency to have Sex..!!

I lost it at 15. I had many partners and even a wonderful daughter before I met my husband. We have been married for 7 years now. I honestly regret ever having sex before I met him (although I wouldn't trade my daughter for anything). Nobody will say they reget waiting until marriage while millions will wish they did, in my opinion.

I was 17 when I lost mine to the man I eventually married but I would say to wait til you are at least 18 so you don't regret just giving it away
