well A BF or GF on the Internet 80% of the time is a scam, You may find the person of your dreams or it will be a person that will try and extort money from you, for example my father is going through the same situation, he met a girl at match.com and the only reason she talked to my 52 year old father was to get money. So I could say dont rely on internet dating for it is unreliable, and you cannot account for this person you are talking to 90% of the time, she could probibly be a jigalo, and you wouldnt even know it, so I say sir be careful.

Yeah, it didn't last very long, though. And i don't recommend it :) Have one you can actually cuddle with and bond. Have a relationship where both of you can spend time together outside the computer. Where you both can actually touch each other in hugs, holding a hand, things like that are what makes a relationship so special and great!!

No, I've never had an internet BF. I do not think it is healthy to develop a romantic relationship solely throught the internet. I think it is important to meet face to face and establish healthy REAL relationships.

DATING on the Internet doesn't work!
It's ok to use dating sites to MEET people, but you actually have to go out and "date them" in the REAL world.
Having a friend (or penpal) who you've never met in person is one thing, but actually developing feelings for a complete stranger (who might not even be the actual age/GENDER they claim to be) is just foolish - and a recipe for disaster and heartbreak...
(Do "pen pals" actually exist anymore???)

My husband and I met on the internet. We "dated" for about 5 months before we got married. That was almost 7 years ago and we are still happily married!!!

I've never had any relationship over the internet. I don't advise that you do, either. It's the internet. Pretty much anyone in the world has access to it. You never know who they are or what their intentions are with you. Never give out too much information about yourself. Your best bet would be to not give out any.

Yes we dated for awhile and then got married it has been almost eight years of marriage now we have two wonderful daughters and a happy home

Got to know someone through email and chat first, but then met up (long distance) and the computer is primarily how we stay in touch.

Yes I had a very serious relationship with a boy named Zach.He lived in Canada but we called each other and I went to visit him!Its funny because I met him on neopets.com!!Lol I'm weird!!
