Well i think some drugs can make you feel zombies but then again is that not an emotion? To irradicate emotion you would have to irradicate thoughts so i don't think its extremely likely, it would need to be a seditite that knocks you out i think. There are drugs that make you calmer, zombies or more lucid but to completely blcok emotions i doubt could be done. but you never know i guess
best of luck

It is possible. But there are currently drugs that could suppress emotion's. But when that comes into effect. Surely it affects an individuals conscience decision's as well. Which then alters a person's personality too.

The effects of long term use of drugs such as exctasy ,speed, and other mind stimulant drugs have been known to do this if taken long term. They dont make you feel emotionless when taking them and it could take a few years for this to happen but it does reduce the drugs released in part of your brain that make you feel elated, happy, and just normal feelings of high that you would get from things that are pleasurable. It can get to the the point where they cause such severe depression that you may as well say that you have become emotionless to the norm.

To a certain extent,yes-the older antipsychotic medications are well known for their emotional blunting effect, which often results in a state of apathy.SSRI antidepressants can have a similar(though much more subtle)effect too.I'm sure that there are other medications that have this effect too.As for other methods,I really don't know, except lobotomy,of course.

I've had my emotions blocked a few times through trauma. Only problem is now I have PTSD and reliving them I am getting all the emotions I should have had at the time they happened. Feeling emotions is important and can only ever be a bad thing to have them blocked.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK
Emotions are a very important part of our dealing with the world around us. However, your body will respond to what you are thinking. You think negative and your body will respond in a negative way. As: you think the people I go to school or work dislikes me. AND LA LA they will dislike you. You think the people around me love me and that will become the fact.
YOUR BRAIN IS THE CONTROLLING FACTOR. Your brain cause to grow up and it will cause to be ill. If you think that way. As you may know DOCTORS are good at telling how ill you are. You keep going back for a fix that will never happen.

I read that there is now a drug that blocks bad memories and it got me thinking. I ended up deciding I wouldn't want it, I think I need to remember bad stuff to appreciate the good.

Empathise, tried it..You cannot suppress emotions for ever ,they will come out in one form or other...Theres plenty of nasty drugs prescribed out there, they dont help deal with problems of life...You can have your spirit ,soul, knocked out of you but why?...Some emotions might make you feel uncomfortable, confront them and enjoy the many emotions that we can enjoy and learn from..

surely by changing a person,s personallity(as all drugs do)they block natural feelings such as pain, anxiety, confidence, happiness, sadness, boredom, depression and elation this drug already exists.Haven,t seen the film but have seen many friends and family members behaviour and personality change once given "medicine"
