Eat healthy. For breakfast eat a bowl of whole grain cereal with strawberries and bananas (or whatever fruit you like), for lunch eat a salad (no dressing, no crutons) with fruit on top, and for dinner eat grilled chicken with a small salad (no dressing, no crutons). Drink water with all of your meals and don't drink any juice, soda, beer, or wine.

Exercise at home. You don't have to go to the gym to exercise. At home you can walk up and down the stairs (if you don't have a second floor, use ones for basment or if you don't have a basement, you can skip this), in sets of 10 (up 10, down 10) and do this once in the morning and once at night. You can run down the street any time of the day that's convient for you. Run for about 30 minutes a day. You could also buy a yoga or pilates video to try those at home.

eat healthy small portions, many more times a day instead of 3 large ones, take brisk walks with the stroller, most gyms offer daycare and depending on the weight of the boys, pick up one at a time and incorporate squats and other exersizes here and there, they will love it too. But most of all, easy does it, you are a new mom, and it is expected that you will have excess weight. 30 minutes at least 3 times a week, mostly cardio and weights, less weight, lots of reps. Hope this helps.

do a low carb diet - it works - but you need to dedicate it as a lifestyle change than just a fad until you lose some weight and then reach your goal - low carb diets arent about fatty fry ups all the time - in fact the atkins for example is actually very healthy - fish, salad, grilled chicken, etc etc etc a GI diet is good too - if you can lower your blood sugar levels on a low carb or low GI diet then you are less likely to crave sugar.

the body switched from burnign calories to burning carbs, so you only count carbs, your body then starts to use your own excess body fat for fuel - you need to read up on a low carb diet as you cant have sugar, etc, and hidden carbs are in may foods -

check out Tesco. as they now do diet plans with support on line - its really good
the low carb food stores may be a little more expensive but at least you can have low carb pasta, bread etc etc chocolate even without messing up your diet..

im a lifetime low carber and found i slept better. didnt get ill so often - hardly ever get hayfever colds flu or anything, but also as i had an intollerance to bread pasta and other carbs -

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, rope jumping, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Hydroxycut. great dietary supplement, along with a healthy diet and some exercise (even at home) will do a lot.

you need to gain muscle and burn fat by doing cardio in the morning on an empty stomach, and eat foods that burn fat.
But, don't eat a lot because it would do you more bad than good.
