thats not true. i've had mine for 6 years and its still just fine and i use sauce on it. using a non stick spray will really mess it up because of the propellant . if you don't clean it properly you can also mess it up and make it stick. if you have one with removable plates don't ever put them in the dishwasher. actually never put anything non stick in the dishwasher

I've had my Foreman for years and put plenty of sauces on it... what'll happen is that the leftover sauce will burn and it'll look kinda nasty, but it's easy to clean out- all you have to do is take a sponge and squeeze soapy water onto the grill while it's hot (if you do it when it's cold, the burned sauce won't go anywhere... if it's a hot grill, it'll just slide right down the grates.) Then wipe it down with the sponge or paper towel.
The ONLY way BBQ sauce or any other sauce would mess up the coating is if you never clean the grill at all... which leads to a nasty, old grill mess.

Sorry I don't know. I don't have a George Foreman grill. I guess we could call George for you or one of his kids. Did he really name all his kids George?
BBQ sauce is great for dipping too though if you don't want to risk putting it on while grilling.

No that is not true. The coating is extremely durable. I use barbeque sauce and a myriad other sauces on my foreman grill and it has no problems at all.

I used sauce and I have never had a problem with the coating. I have done this for about three years now. The only problem I see is that if you don't clean it quickly...it is a pain to get off.

I've done it several times and haven't had any problems. Just wait until the last few minutes of cooking.
