Okay, there is a metal ring with cardboard strips and each strip will have several hues of a similar color. I want to buy one to look at colors but I cannot figure out what they are called. Does each paint supplier have a different one of these? Is there anywhere on the internet where I can order one?

The answer to your question is a color deck and as the person above me said if you go to a paint store,NOT HOME DEPOT or LOWES,they will lend you one with a deposit or may sell you one if they have enough on hand
