Don't buy the junk food so its not around to tempt you. Buy sugar free Popsicles etc. or something else that you like.

you crave what you eat. It takes 7 days to break any habit. So start out one day at a time. Say okay I am not going to have any junk food for breakfast today, then say I won't have any junk food for a snack...and then for lunch....etc for the whole day. Then do the same thing the next day... you won't want junk food as much if you trick your mind into thinking you can't have it bow, but you can later. After a week you will crave it less and soon you will barley crave it at all and the satisfaction of not eating any junk food and being proud or yourself for it will conquer any craving you have. i hope this helps :)

The best way to stop junk food craving is to stop buying these things. Then if you crave its not there. Self control in everything is the go. Just like smoking these junk foods are addictive to the palate.Just have some fruits all the time instead of craving for chips.etc, train yourself to grab a fruit instead.

What helped me was learning what is and isn't in those "foods"-- Everything from Big Macs to Ring Dings. Ick. I knew the basics of what a Big Mac is, for instance, over a year before reading "Fast Food Nation" (which I read over a year after becoming vegetarian and about six months after becoming vegan), but it was still informative.
It also helped that I learned what those "foods" were and weren't doing to my body and my health and body.

Drink a lot of water. Also, make sure that you are not skipping meals. I have found that chewing gum or sucking on sugar free candies help. If you crave salt, try nuts, at least they have some nutritonal value. Try low-fat alternatives like sherbert, baked chips, etc.

drink water and go outside to do something else so that you're not tempted by junk food in the house.
