ALL antidepressants enhance and worsen your traits and fears for a few weeks before they begin to turn you into a zombie.... FACT.

It is important to know that side effects were reported if they were seen in 2-3% of the tested population. Not everyone will get them and some side effects go away in one or two weeks. Some side effects are serious, such as the first one mentioned and a skin rash can be a sign of a serious side effect. Some people find the benefits worth minor side effects and some people are more tolerant than others. Just because you get side effects with one SSRI does not necessarily mean you will get the same side effects with another one. Some SSRIs affect fairly specific areas of the brain. Always consult your doctor before changing medication or doses.
The number one warning is that many anti-depressant drugs can result in higher probability of suicide if the person was seriously thinking of suicide beforehand. It does not necessarily cause this, but it can cause a release of inhibition and a person should be aware of it to counteract it.
Although you may not be thinking of it now, some SSRIs can cause reactions if withdrawn quickly.
Other possible side effects are worsening depression, seizures, electrolye imbalance, skin rash (can be serious, inform doctor as soon as possible), headache, stomach upset, dizziness, anxiety, diarrhea, anorexia, insomnia, muscle weakness, priapism, abnormal vision

The SSRI drugs have been under scrutiny for a while now. Side effects such as suicidal tendencies, homicidal tendencies and self-harm have been reported. Reports that the drug companies have been denying (surprise, surprise!)
I was put on Prozac (an SSRI) when I was 15 and within weeks started cutting myself. Within a year and a half I had attempted suicide.
I can't 100% prove that these drugs triggered these behaviours but I never felt like this beforehand.
Counselling has been proven to be more effective in many cases than drug therapy so maybe consider this before polluting your body with chemicals?

Side effects of selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors include:
Nausea, loss of appetite, diarrhea.
Anxiety or irritability.
Problems sleeping or drowsiness.
Loss of sexual desire or ability. More.
Headaches or dizziness.
Weight gain. More.
They generally improve after a few days. People may tolerate SSRIs better than TCAs. They all lack sedation and are free of anticholinergic effects. This improves compliance but gives less immediate benefit for disturbed sleep (so they are initially combined with low doses of sedative antidepressants or hypnotics). All seem safe if overdosed.
There are many more side effects reported for SSRI drugs. For example, hair loss does occur, but not very often. The hair comes back when you stop using the drug, and switching to another SSRI drug sometimes helps.

If Excessive sweating is your problem you'll find here vert good tips: http://hyperhidrosis.toptips.org
About 2% to 3% of the general population experience excessive sweating a condition called hyperhidrosis which can occur with or without a trigger. The most common type is called primary (or focal) hyperhidrosis and it has no known cause, although it seems to run in families. You may have a different type of excessive sweating called secondary (or generalized) hyperhidrosis.
This means that your symptoms may be due to an underlying medical condition or disease (e.g., nerve damage or a hormone disorder), or due to a side effect of a medication you are taking. Talk to your doctor.
Bye Bye

Can make you very tired. Can cause even worse depression. Take at least 3 weeks to kick in. Dry mouth and eyes. Possibility of over dosing. BUT, can make you feel a whole lot better.

You should've received a leaflet with the medication outlining the side effects...make sure you read it.....sometimes the effects are extremely rare.....ask your doctor.
Best wishes
