I want to buy a book that has a variety of foods that are healthy. I would prefer if the book has the calories that each meal has since I am counting calories. Any suggestions

I have several of the cooking light cookbooks as well as their magazine. They are always a lot of good recipes and variety. Also, I have a cookbook with annual recipes from Light and Tasty. Most major bookstores like Borders and Barnes and Noble carry these.

Cooking Light puts out a great line of cookbooks. the recipes are all very tasty. and they list all the nutritional info for each recipe. And there are a lot of great pictures, too. The magazine is pretty great too. at the end of every year, they put out a cookbook of all the recipes that were featured in last year's magazines.

I have a good one called "Healthy Cooking for Two (or Just You). 1-4 servings per recipe which is usually broken down into two different recipes. And all the nutrition info per serving.

My favorite is "Getting Thin and Loving Food" by former Food Network Chef Kathleen Daelmans. It's real food that actually has flavor, not like cardboard - and she gives tips for "when the Queen comes to dinner" - meaning to doctor it up for someone who turns up their nose at "diet" food. The big focus is on fresh ingredients - not so much processed stuff.

Crazy Plates, by Janet and Greta Podleski. They have a couple other books, one that is newer which I'm interested in getting also.
