I was in canadian federal prison and several priests from Mount Cashel orphanage were convicted of various forms of child abuse, and sent to prison.
Mostly they got ten to twelve years. They were required to undergo sex-offender programs which i have heard, are quite humiliating. As well they were abused verbally and physically by the others, made to fear for their health, sanity and very lives.

Almost never. The Catholic Church takes great pains to protect them. The Catholics are fighting recent moves to make the statute of limitations longer than 2 years in child abuse cases very hard. It seems that their major concern is about the liability costs.

They really show no concern at all for the victims of the pedophile priests.

The Church moves them from parish to parish where no one has heard of the offenses they have committed. If it comes to public light what those priests have done, the Church acts like it so surprised to learn of the abuses priests have been involved in and may recommend counseling for them.

I understand that the church tried to cover up this crime. They protected better these priests than they did innocent children.
Yes, some of them have gone to the jail. And some of them have never been caught. Sad.

Most of the time they get away with it. The church protects them and just move them to another parish if to many people are protesting. People that want to press charges are often intimidated by the church.

Why do Muslims cover the faces of beautiful women. They are all screwed up just like the people you speak of and they always get away with it.

Yes, in fact one child molester priest got killed in prison. They are punished and very well should be.

I think that if your a prist and you abuse a child than they arnt a real prist and should be put in jail for a very long time!

The Catholic church used to 'punish' them by making them move to another parish - where they could start all over again, and did.
