Sad, isn't it? Even Atheists have a right to their beliefs. I think it's just that when someone feels so strongly about their beliefs it is hard for them to hear an alternate point of view. Everyone likes to think that they are right in their beliefs; Christians, Muslims, Scientology ... human nature, I guess. And in doing so (disrespecting others) they miss the whole point, don't they?

Geez Sweetpea, know you nothing of religious history? What do you think the Jesuits were doing when they traveled the world to spread the word and destroyed cultures and other aboriginal peoples beliefs? Its a religious thing to do, and began with religious people. Read your organized religious history then ask your religion, any of them for that fact, why they disrespected other people's religions and religious beliefs. Your ignorance should embarrass you.

because they think for some reason the other persons religion is less than theirs. they put themselves up in a pedestal and they think everything else isn't right. most religions say that people that follow other beliefs are sinning. for that reason.. people think that others that practice other religions are sinners and therefore disrespect all their beliefs. just have patience and you'll find those that go above that and dont disrespect you.

Sometimes the utter and complete inanity of those beliefs just get overwhelming, and reason compels the thinking to speak.
If it offends, we can only say that of course our opinions don't matter at all, and if believers are happier with their eyes tightly squeezed shut and their fingers in their ears, it's fine with me.
