No. Everything is stored in the Akashic records for all eternity.. If you perform the proper ritual to invoke a deity that has not been worshipped in a thousand years, the deity will come right back again...although it might take a little time! You can ask anyone who has tried some of the rites in the Necronomicon...if they are still alive!

I don't know if you like fantasy/sci-fi books, but the Coldfire trilogy used this concept. Humans were on another planet, but let's ignore that. They still believed in this God-presence that had great power and could take action, and it did, in some ways. But it was evil. Funny, hmm?
I won't spoil the very interesting ending for you, just in case you decide to read it.

God is alive and infinite
The Creator is singularly Infinite.
When belief in God diminishes, world consciousness diminishes.
As world consciousness diminishes, the "Grace" once abundant to man diminishes.
As "Grace" within the world diminishes the world becomes subject to vast global disturbance. Have we seen any of that lately?
It is necessary for man to increase his faith in God, for this is the only thing that will allow each human to avoid the destruction which is soon to come!

No. I may not believe any longer in gravity, but it still exists.
