It is a "monster" from India who haunts airports, bus terminals, street corners etc selling a book that perpetuates its existence. Seriously, it is Hare Krishna, a mantra to be chanted and a religious cult originated in India. The mantra is the Indian version of "praise the Lord' chanted by individuals and groups in adoration. More info on it can be found by typing in "Hare Krishna" into Yahoo! web search and going to either its web site or wikipedia's summary of the movement.

I think you mean to write or say "Hare Krishna."
Hare means "Praise" or "Glory to" and Krishna is the name of the Lord deity, the Prince god of a Hindu tradition.
You could if you wish learn more about Krishna by reading the Bhagavad-gita or the Book of Bhagavad, an epic poem or story if you will, which tells of a great battle involving gods, demons, and mortals. There are translations into English and other languages.

A Hare Krishna is basically a devotee for Krishna (a Hindu God). It's usually hopeless white people, handing out brocheres or something. I have yet to see an Indian Hare Krishna....

They used to run around in the 60's. They wore white robes and had bald heads. I think they were reformed drug burn outs. They passed out weird literature.
