MTV, Commercials, the web, etc; all make picking up girls in Nightclubs look so easy. They always portray guys just walking up to any girl and getting her to let him touch her and even go home with him after just a few words! I have always heard most guys get rejected in clubs, so which is it?

I would prefer answers from people who have experience in clubs, not just kids who repeat what they heard from friends (which is what I usually get).

Sorry man if you have to ask this on Yahoo Answers. I would say its going to be impossible.
How good were you picking up on girls in High School or College? Take that and times it by 10 on the level of difficulty. If you couldnt just walk up to a girl in high school or college and have a date while walking to class. Its not going to happen in the club scene.

Being a girl who goes to clubs because thats what her friends all love to do... maybe I can shed some light on the situation. Most girls always get very drunk so they can loosen up and have fun... and because of that, I'd say that picking up girls at the club is easier than picking up girls in a setting where alcohol isn't a factor. However, the trashiness of so many girls at the club is kind of pathetic. If I were a guy, I wouldn't want to pick up the kind of girls that are so "easy to pick up"... Chances are, if she is easy for you, you aren't the first. Or the second. Or the third. ;) haha.
oh, and P.S. a good girl knows better than to pick up a guy at the club. If they are hitting on her so quickly she isn't the first either...

well i go to clubs about 2 or 3 times a week, and if a guy is too forward or pushy then they usually get rejected. Most of the time guys in clubs have been drinking so they are a little too confident and usually get rejected. I guess it just depends on the guy

From the perspective of a girl who likes going clubbing occasionally, it's usually pretty difficult. We just go to have fun and what it ends up being is guys you don't know rubbing up behind you just to see if they'll be able to get some.

well im a gurl, and this question is kinda directed to guys who ahve xperienced this, but ill help out anyways .
its soooo not like you see on TV, sometiems you find $lU+S and W#ORES that will let you touch them, and even F them when you dont even know them, sometimes youll just find a lonely girl, who needs love and affection and isnt a $lu+ but just needs to feel like shes wanted so she will let you say anything to her and touch her, but the "regular" chicks out there arent easy prey most of the time and wont allow you to even get close, ive seen guys get slapped for just complementing a girl at a club, so yes, overall most guys get rejected at clubs /

im 20 and i have been to a couple of night clubs. i always have drunk guys who just think they can come up to me and start dancing and touching me. honestly i think its very creepy. ill put it this way if a girl goes home with someone she met at a club shes probably a hoe or shes too drunk to think about what she is doing. i suggest you dont try to pick up chicks in clubs... bad idea.

Don't believe any of the smut you see on TV and from Hollywood. The TV ratings are based on sensationalism and the more T&A and sex they can put into a show, the better the rating is. Same way with movies. Sex, violence and nudity are the big sellers in the entertainment market.

To start with NOTHING is as easy as it is made out on TV. TV is fantasyland.
Confidence is the trick, and NOT seeming desperate. Girls like guys who approach them in a relaxed manner, with a smile on their lips and in their eyes.
Ask the girl simple non-threatening questions about herself and her interests. Girls love to talk about themselves and their interests. Listen and ask further questions.
Compliment her on how she looks and DON'T boast about yourself.

Definitely not as easy as TV, but it can still be pretty easy depending on several factors:
how good looking you are, how good looking the girl is
what type of bar it is - posh uptown bars usually get you a chic uptight female crowd looking for $$$, local bars and pubs and restaraunt happy hours usually have more down to earth chicks.
It's all a matter of confidence. If you talk to 10 girls and get rejected by 7, your still batting .300. and that will get you to the all-star game in the big leagues.
Be original, clever, and seem like you dont really give a damn if she likes you or not. What ever your interests are make them sound like they are the coolest thing in the world. If you for some reason collect tri-colored toothpicks, you can jokingly call yourself out for being a nerd, but tell (or make-up) and interesting story about how you got into such a bizarre interest.
Broads like guys who have passion in things, are different from the usual pricks who thry to pick them up at bars. They like guys with a little bit of swaggar, like they belong in the bar but not like they own it.
Make sure you have a manly drink, dont try to pick up a girl if your drinking a blueberry razz martini, or something lame like that. Whiskey/coke, whiskey/sour, beer, manhatten, are some standard guy drinks.
Ask her about her interests and as soon as you find something in common remember it, but dont mention it too her till she finishes telling you all about herself, WOMEN LOVE TO TALK ABOUT THEMSELVES. let them, and maintain a sort of mystery about yourself. when she is done mention your common interest...but follow up with a question about it....oh your a van halen fan too, have you ever seen them in concert or whats you fav album....
Its not easy, but its not hard if you accept the fact that you will get rejected from time-to-time cause females are b****s and it happens. Just move on to a hotter one. My friend has a saying that we both kind of live:
"All Women are crazy, nuts and bit**s. Find the hottest one you can get, and run with it."
