Even if it existed what is the worst thing that can happen?
As it is,apparently, the soul that goes to hell and as the soul is not a physical entity and does not have a nervous system. The soul cannot feel pain.
Therefore it doesn't matter how hot it is we won't be suffering in any way

I don't think they do. All the Christians assume that they are going to heaven, and all the non-Christians don't believe in hell in the first place. Who's actually afraid of it?

well i have asked many many questions about this soul that needs saving. I have yet to get a real answer as to its properties and description. the most amazing thing is the reference use for this is a single manual. I dont see how so many descriptions can arise from a single true text. Do you see this much division in the entire astronomy or geology or any physical science bookshelf??? Hundreds of books all come to very very similar conclusions. But a coherent description of this part of each human being is not in existence??
I agree it cannot have a nervous system. The usual explaination for this is hell is separation from god and thats spiritual pain something it can feel. but as far as the fire and eternal burning torment is a stretch for even the most devout.

The soul does not feel pain? Really?
If you could not talk to family or anyone for eternity - you would not be in pain?
To be cut off from GOD - you would not feel pain.

Rethink all the emotions of being human and how if any or all were cut off or reversed - then examine if you'd be in pain - of course you would.
If I saw a demon torture my son - I'd be in pain -even knowing he's in heaven it still would be painful.

Plus we are talking about hell, or heaven - so physical pleasure or pain POSSIBLY would exist, as part of the joy or torture of being there. If sent to heaven - and you can't enjoy food or drink there - that you couldn't eat while alive - why go!?!?

Why don't we let God answer it, he is the originator of life

(Jeremiah 7:31) 31 And they have built the high places of To′pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart. . . .........he hates the thought of hurting people

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

(Ecclesiastes 3:18-21) . . .I, even I, have said in my heart with regard to the sons of mankind that the [true] God is going to select them, that they may see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust. 21 Who is there knowing the spirit of the sons of mankind, whether it is ascending upward; and the spirit of the beast, whether it is descending downward to the earth. . .

Wise people.

Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But the soul is reunited with a new body that does feel pain, and is unable to be destroyed. So the worst thing that will happen is eternal burning, forever, along with eternal separation from God.

This story is told in the Bible.,...I asure you if had one wish, it would be to have a second chance.

Luke 16.19-31

"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.

20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores

21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.

23In hell,[a] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.

24So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.

26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

You NOW have the chance he wished he had...Don't be foolish, Ask Jesus to be your Savior of your sins.

Its the guilt of something done wrong, or some sin, that makes someone believe in hell, even if its not existed. Conscious, burns the soul well, already.

The greatest pain possible is eternal separation from God, and therefore from all that is good, beautiful, decent, sacred, enjoyable, positive, etc. The soul can indeed feel such pain. Heat has nothing to do with it. Hell is absolute and final failure as a human being. Only a fool would not fear it.

The "hell" is the place of eternal destruction after death. There are Jewish parallels for the belief, attested in Matthew's form of the saying, that soul and body alike are consumed in the fire of Gehenna.—Hard Sayings of the Bible

Another words, you burn forever and you will suffer greatly if you go to hell.

Hell is like a boogie man for everyone. Without the fear of not making it to heaven, or wherever you believe you are going there would be chaos. Most people believe in hell because its like believing in Santa. If we are good, then we are rewarded with gifts aka Heaven. If we are bad, then we are rewarded with coal aka Hell.
