well she is a cocker spaniel and she is 6 years old and she keeps getting goo under her eyes i sometimes i wipe of the goo 7 times a day why does my dog get gooy eyes????????

please help!!!!!!!

It could be a couple of things. If this is new, then she could have an eye infection. Also, stringy goopy stuff that keeps coming back is a symptom of keratitis sicca--dry eye. They don't produce enough tears and need medicine to help. Did she have a cherry eye as a pup (3rd eyelid gland) and was it removed? This often predisposed cockers to this condition. Time for a vet check!

will i think somethin is not right wit her eyes so u should go 2 the vet and ask them that because this must be serious if i u have 2 keep wiping her eyes 7 times a day so go 2 the vet please because i have a dog in he's a Lhasa apso and when he had itching problems we take him 2 the vet but that's different i'm jus saying go 2 the vet because i love dogs and puppies i'm there 1 # fan and i don't won't nothin bad happening 2 your dog at all because i care about your dog so PLEASE GO 2 THE VET!

It is usually just "sleep" in their eye. It is like our sleep when we wake up. Maybe he has puss in his eyes. Contact your vet.
