christians often say, that only something amazing could create the earth, humans, the eye, a cell, etc etc etc .
i agree, but that amazing thing is nature, and it is bigger, older and more amazing than any of your gods.

I think theists agree that nature is amazing. They think its SO amazing that it could not have happened all on its own.

Theists do see how amazing Nature is;-}
from the infinite universe of galaxies & stars,
down to the tiniest molecule or bacteria.
And they can only attribute this to a 'Creator' GOD,
which had to exist before all time & forever.
Look at a car, a watch, a radio, etc.
should they be the object of admiration?
No, the question is "Who made this?"
We are 'fearfully & wonderfully made' praise the Lord!

Why say theists when you mean Christians?
Most polytheists believe the gods are part of nature, not supernatural.
And my most amazing thing is my son, and he's younger than the gods and nature.

What seems so strange is that the early natural philosophers were willing to admit to the great age of the earth, the understanding provided by science and still believe in God. It seems that mostly modern Christians are unable to reconcile the facts of science with their faith.
There are lots of Christians who believe in evolution and the Big Bang and are no less Christian for it.

Sorry, but there had to be a beginning somewhere. Even nature could not have simply appeared out of nowhere. This is the theory that even the greatest scientists can not debate. Nature can make changes yes, but can not create itself.

now its reduced to nature is amazing.
it used to be lightning came from Zeus. I mean how long before someone just says enough already with trying to make it into something that it clearly isn't.
