Sometimes I do it to learn something. Other times, I do it to make a point of some sort.
But I NEVER mock, rant, rave, insult, or belittle people. Well, maybe I rant a little. I try not to, though. I'm just very passionate about my beliefs.

When I answer a question , I also learn something about people , some good and some bad. I have gained insights and can say I appreciate people and respect individual beliefs is an important way for achieving harmony and meaningful dialogue. All the negative mocking , ranting ,raving , insulting , and belittling will only gain noise back at them and produces nothing meaningful.

It would seem to me that both are wrong... A question should be ask to gain knowledge that one did not posses before. Anything else is discussion and debate which theoretically wasn't the purpose of Y!A. However, in the real world, all of the above are true and I suppose must be dealt with in some manner that doesn't get one discharged from Yahoo!

Gaining insight into the other people just seems to be a side benefit. Never did it to find out certain things about certain people.

Sometimes to learn something. Sometimes to express my point of view and hopefully make others think. Sometimes to make someone smile.
I've learned a great deal about scientology and jehovahs witnesses on here. Also Paganism.

I log on to learn, teach, and hopefully get a chuckle or two and make someone else's day a little brighter. Ignore the haters and detractors!

Insight always. People are great, aren't they? Sometimes just to have a little fun. You know, the trolls will love this one.
