Daring? Some people are more daring online because there are no REAL consequences for their actions! On the other hand, most people that are jerks online are jerks in person too!
More confident? That would be the category I fall into! I can get to know someone without worrying about the humiliation of face-to-face rejection/judgement. However, I would not say anything online that I would not say in person.
I like discussing MANY topics online and in person! If you would like to chat, email/IM me!
I am not a freak/stalker/murderer/pervert (well, not a big one!) lol

a lot of people are more "daring" online because they dont have to worry about trying to get away from an awkward situation. if you are IMing someone you dont even have to see them so you dont deal with the embarrasment of some things, or the emotions showing. you can flip out and cheer that they talked to and jump around the room and to them you are just sitting in the chair texting. the computer doesnt show emotion whereas saying something corny in real life can make you look stupid... sometimes

I think some people on the internet would like you to believe they are this certain way, but in reality they are plain jane's. Some people can't tell reality from fantasy so the net helps them be who they want you to see them as...use caution with these chats and don't allow the word to be written in stone...in your mind or heart. As for the cam to cam ****...well I ignore it...of I just say No....Let me know if I can help ?

Of course people are more daring, why do you think there's so much security for the youngsters now? Because parents know that they become totally different people and that's usually not a good thing.

Hello lanay, I think that people can be them selfs when they are in front of a computer because nobody is going to judge them and at the same time that will not affect their personal life.

I'm a small freak myself. I feel sometimes that the internet is a joke. In the real life all the time I have to be so serious, and to treat life like a serious thing, but when I'm on the internet I try to relax and joke allot, and sometimes act stupid just because there are no consequences and its helping my balance.
P.S.: I don't like the persons like you on the internet eighter, it's boring to chat only in the direction the the other one is ok with, at least on the internet you can be open minded and try to experience allot.
I have friedns who love to chat too, but I shouldnt ask about them(why am I so courious???), I shouldnt talk about me because they feel I'm braging, sex is out of discution, about the jobs is borring they've hade enough, so, wtf should we chat about???? I have very close friends ignored on messanger because of this, but in real life they are ok.

Flaming people on line is the same as flipping someone off on the road. You are anonymous, so there are no consequences. That makes people more "daring".

I think some are inner freaks in real life. Nah, you are right. People say things they wouldn't normally say because they are hiding behind a computer.

Most people are shy by nature. "Talking" to a computer has no fear factor concerning being rejected. As soon as you reject these suggestions they will (should) leave you alone. If they continue you can always place them on abuse with most sites. Enough of these will reduce the challenges.
