My pomeranian is a little over a year old and she still isn't house trained. I've been trying forever to try and train her. I take her outside often and she goes, but she still will go inside. I put up her food and water, and only feed her once a day and give her water when ever she comes back from being inside. When she goes inside i scold her and she knows that she's not sopposed to do it inside, yet she goes inside anyway. I just don't know what to do anymore.

i trained my bichon frise (also a tiny dog) by making him ring a little cowbell tacked to the door every time i took him outside. i trained him with the word "out". i placed him outside said "potty" and kept repeating this routine every day till he was trained. u can also buy a doggy diaper and they are super cute

I found that the best way to do it is like this:

when you let your dog drink water keep a close look on her. when she gets ready to pee, grab her and take her outside to where you want her to pee. do this a few times. If it does not work, then try a training mat, they sell them at petsmart. If that don't work, then get a newspaper, roll it up and if she goes inside give her a wack and take her outside.

i had to get to the wackin' with my last dog, she was very stubburn, but she has not gone inside the house for over a year and a half.

Get a kennel and feed her twice a day and give her water 3 times a day. Don't scold her it will only scare her and she will start to hide behind things and go.

My Pom is 10 years old and I swear she's the stubbornest animal alive! She has been trained
for-EVER with "outside" and "go potty" and reinforcement and she knows better but she insists! I was told scolding was the worst thing to do to a Pom and I believe it! She's very, very intelligent but...... .
Anyone else have the same opinion???

get a pee post and place it outside where she will go regularly. '

(pee post is a big yellow stake that smells like pee.

the dog will think its her pee or someone elses and start bringing her there every time she goes poddy.
