Ok, here is my opinion on nascar... nascar sucks, it is a bunch of hicks that cant talk right and screw thier cousins. and everybody thinks nascar is the greatest thing ever to happen. the only good part is when someone crashes. grrrrrr... nascar is seriously GAY!!!

nhra is way better, each run brings new suprises. it is exciting and tragic. it is the best and is way under rated!!!! i love the nhra!!!!

Alright, if you want to get into technicalities, everyone is related. So everyone is screwing a relative, no matter how distant. You, too. Wanna try again, bub?

Apparently you are foolish enough to think that NASCAR's fans are all "hicks that cant talk right." Alright, let's analyze THAT sentence. The correct way of saying it is "hicks who can't talk properly."

I love both NASCAR and NHRA. But if you think that NHRA is the only motor sport that's exciting and tragic, you obviously didn't see the last few laps of the 2001 Daytona 500. And which is televised more? NHRA is only on ESPN, whereas NASCAR has been on FOX, ABC, NBC, TNT, etc.

I can't quite figure out why you're poking fun at NASCAR fans and then saying you are an NHRA fan. The fans of the two are very much the same. I have been to many NHRA venues, and to several NASCAR venues, they're all the same racing fans from the same culture and backgrounds. You're going to see the same people at California Speedway as you do at Pomona. You'll see the same people at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL as you do at Daytona. Don't kid yourself. If you want to be a racing snob and make fun of NASCAR fans, then jump on the F1 bandwagon.

I think you suck. Because they both rule and you are not a car guy at all. Maybe you should take up golf or maybe basketball or womens volleyball.

I agree, NHRA is awesome. I bracket race on a regular basis.
However, Nascar and dirt tracks are also awesome. I have served as a pit crew member for one full season on my friends dirt car. I can tell you that racing a circle track is extremely harder just because of the abuse and constant upkeep on the car.
Drag racing is frustrating and extremely competitive because of the dead on consinstancy that is required but less maintanance on the car is required.

I HAVE DONE THIS: Come out to Gateway International Raceway on a Saturday night for drag racing and ask 10 people if they like stock car racing. 8 people will say yes.
Go to Tri-City speedway, a 1/2 mile dirt track 20 minutes down the road were the Wallaces and Kenny Schrader used to race, and ask 10 people if they like drag racing and 8 people will simply attempt to kick your ***!

I'm gonna assume you own a 16 second Honda, never been down a dragstrip or have taken a stock car out and patted the track down much less raced, yet you think your really cool! Dork.

Oh yeah NHRA, I take a sip of my drink and I miss an entire race. Seriously though, I watch NHRA on occasion and it seems like every other race it's a one sided affair because the other driver either redlights, loses traction off the line or either blows the motor or shuts down before the motor blows. I mean it's ok but, not what I'm looking for. BTW I'm far from a hick, and my wife's wasn't related to me before we got married, so there goes the stereotype. Oh yeah I can speak proper English thank you. And to the person who said IRL, I watched a bit of the race at Richmond, they didn't even draw the crowd of a Busch race. If it wasn't for Danica IRL would be dead.

way better? I think the person who calls something gay and then goes off and says "way better", needs to check themselves because they are the one who is gay. Support your arguement. Give an example of why this past weekend was exciting and tragic. What was a new surprise? You're the one making the claims, so back it up. You are a dumbass.

Two different kinds of racing man. You can't say that all NASCAR drivers screw their cousins.

What about Drag racing is better? that they don't turn.

Everyone can find something they don't like about another sport, doesn't make it right to completely bash it.

Racing, in all forms, can be exciting.

as a fan of all racing i watch both, the problem both run on a track too similar to the last race and not much diffrent from the next race, because of this there isnt much by way of car diffrence from track to track, both are full of cars that arent that much diffrent from all he other cars in the series, one turns one direction, one turns no directions, so for a fan of one to bash the other is stupid, not saying you have to like both but why criticize ?

NHRA:Quarter-mile drag strip.

You're an idiot. NHRA is two cars that go straight for like, 8 seconds. Rinse, wash, repeat. You're just letting out you emotions cause deep down you know nascar kicks butt and is the most popular form of auto racing in these United States. I don't know why ESPN covers it, cause no one watches.
