For daily stressors that might build up, how do you deal with them -whether it's a positive or negative way?

I only go the "positive" route since going the "negative" one only causes more problems.

Take care of myself physically, mentally and spiritually. Take time to relax, enjoy nature by hiking, get a massage if really tense, take a nice bath, enjoy my pet, visit with good people, read the Bible, etc. There are many ways to deal with stress.

Also, it's how we live daily that can be tweaked; many live above their means, have debt, take drugs or abuse alcohol, all are things that can be eliminated to make life much better.

I like to journal, take walks, and practice deep breathing techniques; meditation is also another idea.

RELAXATION TECHNIQUES

Recognize what activities you consider relaxing.

Be specific when exploring your options:
–going for walks
–meeting with friends
–reading for pleasure
–listening to music
–taking a bath

Be realistic about the amount of time that you can dedicate to "downtime".

This time should be incorporated into your daily routine.

Remember this is called BALANCE- not be used as a procrastination tactic.

Begin practicing relaxation techniques
–meditation
–guided imagery
–deep breathing exercises
–progressive relaxation (muscle relaxation)

Decide which relaxation technique works for you and practice daily.

Work. If I can't get work, the stress comes back really hard.
If I can't get any work, I exercise. Then I feel like I'm doing something productive with my time.
I can't work out like I used to since almost a year, I've known that I have diabetes. Now I don't know what to do. I'm getting a lot of stress and it leads to suicidal thoughts. Help.

Okay the first thing you have to ask your self is - can I fix it?
If there is no way of fixing it stop worring about it!
Example: My son is going to IRAC in Jan. I wooried about how I could fix it, but I can not he chose it, and there is nothing I can do about it! Of course I will worrie about him when he leaves, but I can not let it take control!!!!! Everyday stress, just remember "can it be fixed?" If not forget it!!!!!! IF so do somthing about it!!!!!!
