Aztec King - Priests, who are directly descended from Laman ben Lehi and occupied the region near the former Zarahemla in the Land Northward (now Mexico City), mutilated their genitals as a sacrament to god, not to mention the literal hearts of other people. I'm sure this was based on some revealed Book of Mormon teaching, perhaps contained in the lost 116 pages, or the sealed portion of the Goldy Plates.
This is truly a wonderful blessing, similar to Baptism for the Dead: "No one said we couldn't baptize dead Jews and Nazis, so we did..."

I doubt cocaine was a big problem in Joseph Smith's day and place. But, later prophets have said that illicit drugs are a no-no.
We don't follow the prophet BLINDLY. But, not everyone has common sense.

Section 89 of the D&C was received in 1833. At that time cocaine and its relatives were used as pain killers for dental work and surgery. I don't believe it was abused as much back then as it is now.
All lessons on the Word of Wisdom (prepared missionary discussions, Sunday School, Priesthood / Relief Society, etc) clearly state that all harmful substances go against the spirit of the Word of Wisdom. They often specifically mention illicit drugs.

Recent DNA studies have shown the whole Mormon cannon to be based in lies. Why believe any of it. Experiment. Find out if cocaine is OK for you. It is foolish and self limiting to take any religious view as your own.
I am third oldest in a fundamentalist, Mormon polygamous family of 55 children. The whole Mormon church is corrupt.

Nope. It's a substance that shouldn't be ingested. It's a substance that is very harmful to the body. Just because it isn't listed by name in the word of wisdom, doesn't mean it isn't bad for us!! We can use common sense about these things!

Give me a break! We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. Therefore, it is NOT ok. DUH! Not to mention what it does to your body and brain. Can you ask anymore inane questions today?

Mormons pick their own vices, unless they have to give it up, like multiple wives, to gain statehood.
