Any Dale Earnhardt Sr, fans still out there, and if so how do you think his boy is doing. Do you think the intimidator would be proud of him if he was still alive. Do you think he'll ever start racing like his daddy use to. Looking forward to your answers. Take care.

By the way, just so you'll know. I am a Dale Earnhardt fan, and I have been since the early 80's. Also, I love watching his boy as well.

Loved the #3, what is there to not be proud of? Yes Sr. would be very proud of his son and would be extremely ticked off at his wife for the way she ran him off from DEI. No he wont be racing like his Daddy cause he isnt his Daddy he is his own man and has his own style of racing.

Simply put Always the man always a fan. I still can't watch images of the wreck without tearing up and leaving the room he was a hero to millions of people because he was a working class man who followed his dream and became a legend and legends never die. I believe the Daytona 500 should be called the Dale Earnhardt daytona 500 just because that was his track and nobody deserves it more, he did more for the sport than any other driver period. I hope that he is looking down on junior right now and telling him good job. I know that when junior made his announcement that Childress made it a point to do whatever he could to get an Earnhardt back in his car because DEI may have the Earnhardt name but Childress is still and always will be Home to the Earnhardt's

I honestly believe that Dale Sr would be proud of his son, will Dale Jr ever drive like his daddy? I doubt it, Jr is a very different person than Sr, even though they are father and son. I believe that Sr taught him quite a few things, however Jr has had to go and prove that he belongs in the Cup series (which he does). Will Jr ever win a championship? Perhaps, the thing everyone needs to remember the competition isnt getting any easier either.

I am a Dale Earnhardt fan. I do think the Intimidator would be proud of Jr. but more so because of his abilities on the marketing side of the sport than as a driver.

I think Dale Sr would be proud of his son. Dale sr would want his son to have his own path-not stand in Sr's shadow. I think Sr would be disappointed in the way Teresa has treated Dale Jr and Kelley. Sr created DEI with his family in mind. He wanted his kids to have something to pass on to the next generation.

Dale Jr is creating a new dream with JR motorsports. Kelley is a smart business woman and learned a lot from Dale Sr.

Jr has always been his own man. I don't think he will ever drive like his dad. People who knew Dale Sr and Ralph say Jr is more like his grandfather.

Jr making the move to HMS was the best thing for him. I believe Dale Jr will have many good years at Hendrick. Rick is like a father to Dale Jr and will look out for Jr-Just like Dale Sr would if he was still alive.

I saw the "Dale" movie in Feb. It showed who Dale Sr really was and what we miss!

I think Dale Sr. would be proud of the way junior is going about his buisness. He probably wouldn't be to happy with the way Teresa let things get at DEI. Up until a few weeks ago they weren't even doing that well and nobody has heard from them in a couple of years and i don't think Sr would have let it get that bad. If you think about it who was it that helped them turn it around none other then Dale's old buddy Richard Childress it kinda makes you wonder about the relationship he has with his best friends widow it took 6 years for them to join forces in the engine program. Maybe Richard just got tired of seeing the company he helped his best friend start going down the crapper. It was reported a few years ago that teresa wanted to buy the # 3 from Childress and he wouldn't sell it, she is probably still pissed at that because he is making money off of Senoir's name and she can't get any. And in all fairness it's his number he helped Dale get to where he was and he deserves the rewards. As far as junior goes he would be proud of the fact that junior was willing to leave the company that was started for him and his siblings and go to their rival and win championships. Senior was all about winning at all costs and he proved it by pissing off everybody along the way and earning the nickname the " intimidator " so if junior has to piss a few fans off to win then so be it Senior would do it in a new york minute. Dale had a saying, when they boo me on sunday i go to the bank on monday, and he didn't care what people thought he knew they would realize he did what it took to win and that is why he was a fan favorite and thats why his son will still be a fan favorite. In a few years when he has hopefully won a few championships at Hendrick's the fans will look back and say good job for leaving DEI. I wouldn't be suprised if in 5 years he made enough money with Hendrick's to buy DEI back and build it into a championship winner.

I loved Dale Sr. and I pull for Jr. now. I think Dale would be proud of Jr. what dad wouldn't be? I think he would be disappointed with how things are being ran at DEI, but I think he would be proud of Jr. for trying to do his best to improve his career.

As far as Jr. racing like his daddy. . . .no one will ever compare to Sr. and Jr. needs to find his own way, keep his own personality on the track and do his best to stay out of the shadow of his father. And, really the fans make it difficult for Jr. to do his own thing. . .everyone wants to see Sr. back on the track, and that is just not going to happen.

I may be wrong but I think Dale Sr. started winning the Cup championships after he went to Childress at age 32 so I think Junior has done much like his dad in making his move to Hendricks at age 32. He had only one Cup win before that and that was his Rookie and the Year and Cup champion in the same year. As for "if Sr. would be proud of his son"? I think he would be proud of his on track performance and most parents try to stay out of their kids private or public life at that age. Having said all that, I think his father would be very proud of him because (the security of always having a JOB at DEI), he has now put himself out there with all the big boys who win or leave.

I think given the time JR will become his dads kid on the track. What you have to realize is Dale SR did not just jump into NASCAR as the Intimidator he got that way from fighting his way from the local tracks up with out hardly any support. JR hasn't had this experience all tough after all this team changing going on he will have to start from the bottom and work his way up so he will get his own version of these experiences that will give him that style we all know is in him!
