God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.

Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

Is this the God you serve?
How do you know?

Matthew 5

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Yes I believe that. Romans 8:1 There is now therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus and walk according to His Spirit.
He lives in my heart and the old man has passed away and all things have become new.

Do not be surprised if those who are "natural" men read this they don't understand but pray that the Lord will take the blinders off of their eyes that they may recognize their sin and repent and receive eternal life both now and in the hereafter.

gorgeoustxwoman2 sometimes it's not all about being smart. It's about having faith. I never really understood why people were christian either until I became one. Because when you finally except him in your life you just know he's there. And everything just seems better because you have hope in something. Besides I rather die a christian and find out God isn't real than die a atheist and find out God is real.

God was invented by ignorant savages in the long distant past. You have given up most of them. You probably don't worship Baal or Quetzalcoatl. Why are you hanging on to this last stupid creation of these savage people from 6ooo years ago? Stupid and savage then. Stupid and savage now. People who continue the ancient and savage believe in god are essentially antisocial as are most mentally ill people.

I think the same Divine Spark that holds the fabric of the universe together is the same Divine Spark that flows through my veins.

God is as close, or as distant, as I perceive.

Meister Eckhart said: "The eye through which God sees me is the same eye through which I see God."

I like this thought very much.

The temple you speak of indwells in each of us! For the New Covenant of God makes it possible for each one of us to have direct, unobstructed access to the Holiest of Holy Room (type of the Old Covenant Tabernacle). And this privilege has been purchased for us through the blood of Jesus, the spotless sacrificial Lamb. And only through the blood of Jesus and the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, has He empowered us to be in His glorious presence, past the courtyard, the sanctuary incense, golden candlestick, and table of shewbread, and finally through the rented veil, into His throne room to have direct relationship with Him.
This was not revealed to me until I received the Holy Spirit, tearing the thick veil covering my spiritual eyes, so I could finally see & feel His presence, in His throne room. Oh Mighty God, thank you for the Holy Spirit and for Your Mercy! You are worthy!

disagree, because The Holy Spirit does dwell in the Church and the Human "temple" itself (body) of baptised people. Jesus Christ literally becomes sacramentally present in the Holy Eucharist at the Holy Mass. God bless.
