You have to strengthen your hair from the "inside", as a deficient body won't produce nice long healthy hair. However, you can help your hair by getting a silica shampoo from a health food store.

Take flax capsules as well as gelatin. Make sure you are drinking a sensible amount of water and aren't vitamin deficient.

I used to have trouble growing out my hair after I hit my teens, until I started taking flax. After that I had nice long healthy hair!

The lengthening shampoos don't always work that well. If you use any kind of Suave or Dove shampoo, it will make your hair smell good and keep it healthy so that it can grow long.

your salon strength shampoos would be best, but so long as the one you choose leaves the hair feeling clean but moisturized any should be helpful, the most important step to growing hair is keeping it trimmed
