you have to eat 5-6 small meals a day to lose weight because that way your body will have calories when it needs them and not have any extra left to store in fat reserves and your blood sugar will be more stable.
find how many calories a day you need to lose weight and divide by 6 - thats how many aproximately you need per meal.
e.g. if you need 1900cal/day to lose - thats 6 meals of 317cal, so breakfast could be 450cal, snack - about 200cal, lunch - 350cal, snack - 280cal etc.
