2 Corithians 4:15 & 16
For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
Therefore we do not lose heart;even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

You will never be the person God wants you to be until you surrender your will to God and give glory to His name in all circumstances.

Abraham made lots of mistakes by LYING about Sarah not being His wife. One day God wanted to test his heart and trust, so He told Him to go and sacrifice the son of his old age--- Isaac. Abraham brought Isaac to Mt. Moriah and prepared to sacrifice him-----but God called out to him as he lifted the knife and said to do no harm to the boy, NOW I know that you fear and trust the Lord.

How much do we love God? How much are we willing to sacrifice on His behalf? Do we really have faith? This is just one example showing what it means to have relationship with God and having faith in His word.

Paul was facing persecution and hardship at every corner but He gave glory to God like JOB. He always denied himself and put the church first.

Paul wrote the letter to the Phillippians while in Jail and at a difficult time, but yet the theme of that letter is JOY. You would not know what Paul was going through from a first glimpse of the letter. This epistle and also the verses you chose, can tell us how to be the person God wants us to be.

Well, I'm pretty much the person the Divinity wanted me to be. We went through a spiritual journey together, there was a lot of renewing, perishing, and even some genesis involved. And at the end I emerged a complete person, accepting, forgiving, strong, capable, loved, and loving. I couldn't have made it without help, and because I was loved enough to received help. I learned that I was worthy of love, and that I could love me, not because I was without sin. But because I had sinned and recovered from it.

Jesus said be perfect as Your Father In Heaven is perfect.
When your Heart, Soul, and Spirit are able to tip the scales of righteousness, greater than the Scribes and Pharisees, when you Love for God is pure, when your Love for your neighbor is as it would be for yourself, you will realize God and have your place in heaven greater than it is now. You will also contribute to the whole of humanity positively.
You can do nothing for God because he needs nothing, but wants your Love by free will choice. This is the bond you two have. That Love will guide you through this life.

I am constantly growing in the Lord. I'm sure my mind will keep me from being all that I could be for the Lord. So, if I would quit trying to reason things out, and just follow with faith, I believe then I could be who God wants me to be.

Until we stop believing Paul and believing the actual words of Jesus.

When did Jesus ever say "For all things are for your sakes" rather he said to forgive others, less your father in Heaven will not forgive you"

God owns everything we can see. He has power over life and death. His creations are endless. His abilities and magnificence is beyond our comprehension. We are completely at his mercy. Only a fool would refuse to obey him. The answer to your question is "obey"

You can not have life eternal until you accept Christ into your life. The Body that holds the spirit will die and shrivel up but the spirit will go on forever.

God loves you just as you are. Our physical bodies are dying, but we get better and better every day, spiritually, if we try to do our best every day.
