There are many answers to this question. Mental illness that goes untreated, jealousy, anger, evil. I also think that so people snap because they have been stressed out for a very long time or have been treated poorly for a long time.

Look at the boys who committed the Columbine H.S. murders, they were loners and weren't treated well or liked. Maybe had people been less selfish and included them or reached out, or they had better family relations, this never would have happened.

Too many people are excluded, shunned, put down and treated really bad in this world for just being who they are, that isn't right.

There are many reasons. Some are psychotic and some are highly distraught over a lost love or have anti-social disorder. There are many more scenarios.

Actually you will not find either psychotic illness or psychosis or psychopathy illness in the Diagnotics and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders version IV.

The main mental health causes are psychotic illness, when someone does not understand the reality of what they are doing and psychopathic illness , when someone is incapable of empaphy towards others.

Of course there are many people who suffer from psychosis and psychopathy and are totally harmless. Most murders are not commited due to mental illness and happen because of greed, revenge, drunkeness etc.

I don't know all of the reasons. I do know they don't have to be "crazy". Some people kill for money, anger, jealousy, they are high or drunk, rapist kill, or just self defense, etc. For those who are mentally ill. They had terrible childhoods ( it made them vengeful among other things), they feel like social outcasts, maybe they were raped and are seeking revenge. There are all kinds of "reasons". I honestly don't understand it all. I hope this helps.

it's probably because some of those people you're talking about, are sensitive, it means they have a little problem (which doesn't matter to everyone else) and get all angry, throw something at the door, kill someone or more, all that violent stuff, they wish they can fix it easily but it takes time for them because they are sensitive.

They might have been hurt from the moment they were born by the people around them. If they bottled that in it can snap and all that anger and hate comes pouring out and in some cases it is on other people.

I believe it's mostly genetic defects. They probably suffer some kind of chemical imbalance in their brain. Killing someone is not as easy as it looks. Most of us cannot kill under normal circumstances. That's why this society is still livable.
