Eating only two meals a day will put your body into starvation mode. What that means is, your body will stop burning calories because it doesn't get the fuel it needs. The 2 meals a day that you do eat, your body will turn into fat to store it for later use. Eat more often not less often, just eat smaller portions and eat healthy.
Also for everyone who wants to lose weight, don't drink pop. Even the diet stuff. I gave up drinking diet pop and switched to water and lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. No exercising or anything. Just gave up pop.

No, you actually want to do the opposite. If your body isn't getting the nutrients and stuff you need from 2 meals a day, it will begin to store away everything you eat in your fat cells. Try eating four or five SMALL meals a day. This will help shrink the size of your stomach, making you less hungry but keeps up a steady stream of vitamins and nutrients so you don't become fatigued or faint.
Also, if you go to a gym keep in mind women lose weight differently than guys do. The first place you will see the weight disappear is in your arms, then your thighs and legs and lastly, your midsection.
And, if you aren't chubby i wouldn't worry about it, at all. Being extremely skinny is dangerous and not nearly as pretty as some girls think. So, think hard before you try for "really skinny." You may be putting your health on the line

Depends on what your workout is. If you're weight-training even if it's light weights, then try not doing those. Instead, try cardio workouts instead.
It is suggested to not eat less than 1200 calories a day and you do need to burn 3500 calories to burn off 1 pound of fat. Aim for dropping 2-3 pounds a week. Depending on what you currnently eat, you can start by excluding 400-500 calories a day (this is if you do happen to eat maybe a 2000 calorie diet). Eating two meals....I've never had a problem eating only two a day as long as I got 1200 a day, but then I tend to nibble all day on a cold-cut sandwich or what have you. I know what they say about either eating three meals or 5-6 smaller meals, but I have never noticed a difference in my own experience.
From an answer below: "Try eating four or five SMALL meals a day. This will help shrink the size of your stomach, making you less hungry but keeps up a steady stream of vitamins and nutrients so you don't become fatigued or faint.

I have never read any medical information that the stomach shrinks from taking in less food. It simply deflates and stretches as it is emptied and is filled. So don't scare yourself into thinking your stomach, an organ, will shrink. Only surgery will do that.
Also, you may not lose weight in the same areas in that order as was answered. Everyone's body is different. Personally, I lose weight from the midsection and face first.
You should also think about what your height and frame is. Taller people usually require more calories anyway. Shorter people require less for bodily functions.

Well, eating only two meals a day will make your body think there is some kind of famine where you are so it will lower your metabolism and you will gain weight on fewer calories than you did before. So if you want to lose weight, five small meals are much better for it. Figure out your total calories and divide them up into five small meals that you eat 2 or three hours apart.
Being skinny without any muscle definition is not very attractive, nor is it good for you physically. And not exercising will slow down your weight loss since your body will not use up as many calories. If you insist on having no definition, at least do something fairly neutral like walking to burn up some calories.

Even one meal is enough for survival. However, it is better to have 3 meals with breakfast and lunch being equal to a full course Dinner. You may not need snacks, and just have a drink instead. Yes, it is enough, and you could also consider taking a portion out of the two meals and making it a third meal, and not increasing any calories. Do take a Multi vitamin, when you are dieting. Best wishes.

It's usually better to 'graze' throughout the day, by taking small, healthy snacks, but some people work differently! So long as you aren't eating too much in one go, you should be fine. You get fat through eating the wrong foods, not by when or how you eat them. And dancing is a good form of exercise, yes. :) ~Danielle

First of all, you are going about this with the wrong mind-set. It is very serious when you don't understand that wanting to be "really skinny" is buying into someone elses expectations (media).
Second, unless your natural body type is to be really skinny, then you are going down a rough road to ill health. You cannot and should not try to make your body do something that will make you sick in the long run. Not eating properly does the following; robs your body of the nutrition it needs to function. Look at it like this, would you limit your car to gas because it is expensive and try to run on gas fumes? No, of course not. So why would you limit your body of what it requires to run?
Third, working out does not make you look like a body builder, it should make you toned if you are doing it right and that is what you want. Toned bodies look lean and are healthy (if fed properly). If makes no sense to work out and not feed what you are working out! Your muscles require protein when you work out, make sure you get a palm sized portion per meal, also you need veggies, fruits and calcium if you are a woman of any age.
Start thinking for yourself and appreciate who you are instead of trying to be like what you see on TV.

No you need to eat 3 meals a day with a healthy snack between each meal and before bedtime to keep your metabolism up and your blood sugar more level. Do not try to be really skinny as this does not look good and is usually not healthy. Worry more about LOOKING GOOD and getting toned than looking skinny.

In most cases, no. I suppose if you eat a large breakfast later in the day, such as around 11:00 am or noon, it should be okay, and then breakfast. But, it's important to include snacks, such as fruits and vegetables. If you eat an early breakfast, and a late dinner, it will slow down your metabolism, and also slow down your weight loss.

two meals a day is never ok dear. as if u really want to cut down on ur diet ...then have 5 small meals a day instead of 2 big meals...substitute carbs as bread or rice with more intake of veggies and fruits as it will keep ur hunger down as well as ur weight !...don't starve as starving reduces ur chances of losing weight as ur body shifts to the starvation mode...which is harmful as well as it prevents u from losing weight!
